I was playing Half-Life when my computer just randomly shuts off. This was because the adaptor was on the ground, and if it gets to hot, it shuts off.
Now, I turn it back on, and I see this.
WHAT THE *crag*.
Tell me, how the *crag* do I fix this shit. |

3: Select "Medium" or "Classic" Icons.
4: ???
5: Profit!
If you want a simple alternative to the above...
1: Right Click Desktop.
2: Hover Over "View".
3: Decheck "Show Desktop Icons".
4: ???
5: Profit! |

Reboot. Rebooting solves everything. |

Not always. Two weeks ago, my computer got BSoD'd, and rebooting didn't solve it. It wasn't until the next day that it booted up correctly, and I immediately ran harddrive_backupDVDing.exe (the program is actually called RecordNow, but you get the idea. Took seven 4-something gig DVDs to hold the contents of three hard drives, but at least if the hard drive asplodes, at least now it's been backup'd. And so far it hasn't broken again. |
