WOW! Until Sonic appeared, that ACTUALLY looked like a decent game! Then they featured gameplay and there was severe slowdown with the swordplay mechanics. Good job, Sega, way to screw up Sonic yet again! Had you stuck with what was ORIGINALLY seen in the trailer, we MIGHT'VE had an actual game on our hands. But nope, instead we have another Sonic screw-up.
Rejoice, sir hedgehog hath goneth into yon grinder of meat and destroyedeth yon eager fans' radiant dreams once more.

Lets see, they showed all the fast paced action in the first trailer, so why showcase the same thing twice? And please actually play the game before you pass a final judgement.
I've played Sonic Unleashed. Werehog stages were painful to grind through. Sonic abruptly stopping to launch catapults or hack and slash enemies, as seen in the trailer, has a similar effect. Plus, Sonic seems shoehorned in there for the sake of Sonic being in there. Each trailer gives off a horrible feeling of dread every time Sonic slows down. It's a pattern - everyone builds up a Sonic game, but then he slows down and goes farther down the meat grinder. Give the guy a year off or two, and maybe he'll stop sucking.
Plus, I'm not trusting new gameplay mechanics ever since LEGO Banjo came out last year and crushed my hopes and dreams. Rehashing an older gameplay element that DIDN'T work is just horrid.

Just 2 trailers and we already have someone nagging about it. You dont even know how the controls and mechanics will end up being. Its Still in early DEVELOPMENT.

No, it's in late development, as the release date's been given, the gameplay's been shown, the opening cutscene is ready, and it's less than two months away. Not to mention that it's less than half a year away from the last Sonic release, Sonic Unleashed, which likely means that the two will use the same engine and, therefore, will have similar mechanics. Often happens with those syndicated releases, most notoriously Crash Bandicoot after the Naughty Dog era.
There's hope, there's hype, and then there's a waste of breath. This is the last of those.

Youll never know, sega could decide to delay the game to change some bits.
SEGA, a company that primarily is concerned with rushing games for them to meet deadlines and be shipped out for the holiday season or a specific space in the year, that has NEVER learned from this, and GENUINELY has little reason to not market Sonic off as a quick cash grab, is going to delay a SONIC game?
Sega took their time with Unleashed(They made an engine from scratch for the 360 and PS3 versions, and it works well), and it ended up underrated by critics because of bias toward the franchise for past failure and letdowns or because people made a big fuss about smaller problems. It looks to me that it's not Sega rushing anymore, but the grudges being held against them that gives the series a bad name now.
