Well, whoever translated it into a ROM did a shit job.
Everything is coded in random characters, other than the first few dialouge boxes from the title to Cerulean city the second time you go there.
After that, only the Pokemon Center receptionist and a most of the battle is understandable. 3:|════׀ |
