This has been touched on several times, and I apologize if my particular idea has already been suggested and considered not-so-good.

I think that Super Mario Galaxy should be dropped as a unique forum, and have its threads mass-moved to gaming; something to this effect, at least. And more importantly, I think that Mario Kart Wii and Super Smash Bros. Brawl should be merged into one forum, and that forum should be retitled and fashioned to a new purpose, along the lines of: Nerrs Online/Gaming Online, to encompass all online Nintendo DS and Wii games, or to encompass all online games as a whole, for any system.

I don't know, does any of this sound okay? >>

Or we can get rid of gaming and all the mario game forums, and add in Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft, and possibly others forum.
Just a suggestion of my own...though your idea is good too. Just a tad confusing..

Well, I can understand keeping Super Paper Mario separate for the sake of maintaining tribute to this site's theme, or rather, the very inspiration for its creation. Kind of like why we have the Digital Butterflies forum, right?

I'm trying to think of what could be the cleanest/most organized change to the site's Gaming category, and I thought this was a decent idea. Having separate company forums isn't a bad idea, either - I have used this on one of my own sites - but I think it's not quite as unique or interesting, and digibutter is appealing (to me at least) because it has distinct differences from a cookie cutter/generic gaming forum. Speaking from my own experience anyway, I've seen a Gaming category with forums for each game company, and I think it looks... robotic. It's organized in its own way, but it's a bit more dull, I think.

Well, I'm sorry if my own idea's kind of confusing... that's definitely not what I'm aiming for. I think a "NerrConnect24" forum of sorts would be pretty nice, but then again, it might be difficult keeping that organized from the inside (deciding what sort of 'official' threads/stickies should be made). Possibly Stickies for the most popular online games, made for people to request matches in?

General Mario Discussion (Mario and all of its spin-offs like Mario Kart and junk. We're still- for the most part- a Super Mario site.)

Paper Mario Discussion (PM, TTYD, SPM.)

I also believe Media and Geek Gear should be combined to make one "Media and Interests" board, seeing that Geek Gear is pretty much dead. Also, "Contests and Tournaments" and "Star Carnival" could be combined, as well.

Lawl, I forgot some of these boards even existed, such as "Black Market."

I like your idea, Cid. My main focus in my own idea has been on having a forum for online games. Possibly have a NerrConnect24 forum in place of either Paper Mario Discussion or General Mario Discussion? I think that a happy medium could be found where we wouldn't need Paper Mario and any other Mario games separate from each other, but rather somehow creatively combined. Or, under that format, we could leave all the other Mario games to fall under the category of Gaming Discussion instead of them having their own forum, and just have Paper Mario Discussion be the tribute to this site's foundation and theme. Okay idea... maybe? D=
