So, my friend picked me up.

We went to UVic (Which has lots of rabbits on campus yay), drove around six times looking for the right building, then found it once we saw some cosplayers.

The second I arrived, I was tacklehugged by four people, which was then followed by my ass getting beaten repeatedly by one of a few YAOI PADDLES.

Fun. So I grabbed one, paddled Plastic Daisy (ohohoho), ran, tripped, did an awesome barrel roll on the ground and now I have war scars from an anime convention. Go figure.

I learned something new; When someone says "THIS KID WANTS LOVE", they're trying to kill you. A "friend" did that to me, and I was mobbed by at LEAST 50 people in the largest group hug I've ever been suffocated in.

Lots of breasts.

Did I mention I was the only guy in our group of 15 or so?

After we waited outside for an hour and some (Which was an hour and some longer than it should have been), we got in, registered (To find out that they lowered the 3-day pass rates by $5, woo), and got food and stuff. They went all-out Japanese at the concession, with bentos and hot pots.

But the rest of the concession was awesome and EXTRA CHEAP. Relatively large bag of twizzlers for a dollar and beef jerky for 2. And the bottled water you get in stores for $1.50 was only 50 cents. So we filled up and stuff.

Opening ceremony, stuffstuffstuff, explanations on how the security people are wearing security T-shirts as opposed to towels last year (Not really, the guy who runs Kei-kon has the best sense of humour in history), and rickrolled us just as it ended.

Yeah.

As soon as that ended, we all rushed to the dealer's room (THAT'S PEOPLE SELLING ANIME-RELATED STUFF, NOT DRUGS) and searched around. Nothing Emiri I could get for Frozen, nothing Yuki I could get for Paula, and nothing that interested me. It was all Naruto and Death Note and crap like that. So if I don't find anything I like by sunday, I'll just get whatever's there.

Anyways.

Wandered around and did pointless stuff. Their gaming room is fecking AWESOME. Two projector TVs with games like Brawl on them, and about 20 smaller TVs with consoles hooked up. I saw a few SNESes and old, awesome consoles.

Two anime rooms, both of which showing nothing good except Minami-ke which they misspelled as Minami-kei. ololololo

And, of course, the hentai room, but nobody in our group tried to sneak in that I know of, as opposed to last year. Then again, I'm in an entirely different group.

Especially because I was the only one in the group that didn't want to be there for the yaoi panel.
help

Uh.

Around 5:30 or so, I saw a girl with a Bob hat walk by.

Around 6:00, I realized that was Epic~. So I went back to look for her and when I found her I said HEY and she said HEY and I said I'M PLASTIC and she said OH HEY PLASTIC and then stuff.

But we're the first two unrelated nerrs to ever meet, which is kinda history. No pictures, though. Yet.

So we went on a furry hunt for a guy in a huge-ass purple fox costume, but to no avail. And I said to my group HEY LOOK THERE'S A GIRL I MET ON THE INTERNET YAAAY and yeah

I had about 40 chocolate bars so I'm still kinda hyper yaaaay

Anyway uh

Day 1 was probably the most awesome day of my life so far

Okay not really but it's pretty damn far up there

yaaay

okay

i'm done with day one

DAY TWO: COMING TOMORROW AS SOON AS IT HAPPENSSSSSsssss

I was completely silent as always, and she had an energy drink.

Cosplays of
-Dr. House, complete with the pills
-Solid Snake who walked around with a box on his head the whole time
-About fourty thousand Narutos (;;)
-Two Yukis, for Paula if you're watching
-Bezelnif or however you spell it, which is Nekozawa's hand puppet from Ouran except FULL HUMAN-SIZED
-About 5 different PAIRS of people from Ouran, but never more than 2 people even thought it's supposed to be about 6 or 7, I forget
-One incredibly bad Mario
-Surprisingly, only 3 Haruhis

I'LL BE ON THE WATCH FOR MORE TODAY

This!

Also, did the House Cosplayer by any chance copy House's personality?

Not too much. She was too busy getting tacklehugged by every other person there. Not to mention people in groups don't tend to act in-character. But she did have a cane with flames at the bottom.

Yes, she.

If completely unbelievable things aren't spotted every five minutes, it's not Kei-kon.

Leaving for day two now~
