The difference being is that I'm a Staff member. You're not.
I truly believe Staff members should be able to face what the community has to throw at them, as we have more responsibility than the average member. As I see it, it would be fascist for site leaders or site staff to silence, with an iron fist, all criticism or hatred displayed for them.
While I must honor the refusal of the other mods to participate in such threads, I still believe that it is my duty to openly accept any criticism the community has for me; therefore, I created that thread.

The only problem there is that the more... unstable staff members will probably hold a grudge, and have complete bias against you.

Since when was I forcing any other staff members to take part in this, though? I may believe that it is better for a staff member to open himself up to criticism, and I may have tried to convince the mods why this is a good idea, but in the end, I wouldn't want to see them do it because they were forced to. That is why the flame thread I made was for me, and me alone. |
