So if we talk in an undecipherable language and people complain, it's strikable? Like the I_Like_Pi case? So in any normal thread and people start posting in l33t, obscure code, or any non-English language, and people complain, it's strikable? If a post is near or completely unreadable, it would be considered spam. What justification can you give for people to use foreign language in undesignated topics? With the population of Digibutter having to have prior knowledge of the language and decipher it themselves or bother themselves to find translators, it clutters up the forum with unreadable posts for almost every member of Digibutter. Taking examples in the I_Like_Pi case, almost all of the members were unable to read his posts, and with his own type of l33t, standard translators would be unable to decipher. That's around 95% of the people who are unable to read the posts, leaving confusion and useless posts. |

As has been stated, Grammar Nazism is indeed an offense worthy of strike.
However, if someone diligently refuses to post in a constructive manner that can be interpreted well by the majority of the members, then there are going to be complaints, and I don't think that constitutes Grammar Nazism. |

Ahem.
There's no need to say much more in this topic, most has already been said. The only sort of grammar nazism that deserves a strike is the aggressive, offensive one; and the rules already strike that. Other kinds of grammar nazism are petty matters to need a moderator's involvment. I thought we had agreed on the fact mods should stay away from small problems.
And furthermore, if most people can't read what you say, it's pretty pointless to talk. And what does a pointless post mean? Spam. It's not like it's a colossal effort to speak at least understable English, you know. |

As a grammar nazi myself, I know it can be really hard to not correct others' writing style sometimes.
I think it should be strikeable, only if the post insults the other person or makes them feel stupid. I know it kind of already does anyways, but the rules aren't really enforced. |
