[Macha]

This place is sort of HUEG. Bookshelves stretch out as far as the eye can see; there's a little coffee stand in one corner, being worked by a slightly bored-looking brunette woman. Her name tag reads ELL.

Oddly enough, there's only one person working the cash registers. He's fairly new, and is currently engrossed in one of the shop's latest acquisitions--something on quantum mechanics, looks like. The lettering on his name tag is scratched-out. His manager is going to murder him. Or, well, try to.

[Macha]

The brunette quietly falls asleep from boredom. :<

[Tayl]

A random black-haired girl who apparently loves purple was wandering around. She noticed the sleeping woman, and proceeded to poke her to wake her up.

The woman blinks.

"Asdf," she mumbles, or something like. "Welcome to the Reader's Corner, yada yada yada worst name ever... so what can I getcha?" :3;

The cashier glances up from his book, mildly bemused.

[Tayl]

"Oh, nothing...I just saw you were asleep, and I'd assume that your boss wouldn't end up happy with that and all."

[Macha]

"Hahah... yeah, kinda. I've got Tall Dark and Angsty over there to wake me up if he comes through, though I appreciate the sentiment... Want some cocoa, on the house?" :3

"He won't like that either."

"Quiet, youuuu." >.>;;

[Tayl]

"If you insist, sure, that'd be nice.

It's awfully quiet around here, though, don't you think? I mean, I know it's a bookstore, but..."

[Macha]

"Yeah... Not much traffic in here lately. No one's been dropping by."

She glances meaningfully at the Fourth Wall.

Her co-worker facepalms.

[Gilgamesh]

Gilgamesh walks into the store, and heads up to the counter, and asks, "How much does this store cost? I might buy it, depending on how worth a deal is."

My plot to obtain the world shall begin!...in a bookstore...that no one goes to. Well, you gotta start somewhere, he thought to himself.

[Macha]

"Dunno, ask the boss~.

Seriously, though, why do you want a bookstore?"

[Tayl]

The 4th Wall became sad.

"From what I've seen of this area, it doesn't seem like the kind of place where people just settle down and read a book. It's a real shame, though...this seems like the kind of place that really shouldn't be so quiet, especially when you consider how many of the people here really need a break from all of the chaos." she glanced over at Gilgamesh.

"Someone wants to buy this place, huh...? Totally doesn't sound suspicious at all."

[Gilgamesh]

"Take me to him, then. NOW."

[Macha]

"No kiddin'. I took this job mostly 'cause the last one I got ended up in a clusterf--mess. Yeah." :3

...Why not buy a bookstore? :shitty:

She turns to Gilgamesh. "She. And she's not in today. Don't think so, at least."

Suddenly, two familiar Thwomps hopped into the bookstore.

"Excuse me, but do you have any books on how to squish people? We need to get better, or else we'll get replaced by...Pokeys." Thwomp #2 said.

"I hate those cacti." Thwomp #1 said.

[Macha]

"...Aisle forty-four," says the cashier, not looking up from his book.
