Today, I received in the mail a notification that I've been invited to the Global Young Leaders Conference.
Just at a glance, I can tell that this is some serious stuff. It consists of a trip to China, various locations in Europe, or Washington, D.C. and New York City. It includes briefings on a number of different subjects by some pretty high ranking public officials and other important people, as well as plenty of visits to historic locations. I'm not gonna lie, this stuff sounds REALLY awesome.
It's also proportionally expensive. e_o
The U.S. trip is about $2800, while the China and Europe trips...yikes. They're in excess of $6500 and $7000, respectively. I was going to go to Israel next month, but if I can get a refund, I'm definitely going to put it toward this. This is just too big of an opportunity for me to pass up. |
