I started this series a long time ago, but I never got any replies after posting Chapter 4, so I failed to continue it out of fear for 'double-posting'. Thinking back, I don't think I should have let that stop me, but I certainly hope for an okay amount of feedback this time! It is Luigi's tale from Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, only it is much more descriptive, even more so than the 'Super Luigi' books that can be bought throughout the game. I hope everyone will enjoy it.

I am going to tell the story of Super Luigi with my own writing style. I hope that you all enjoy. It was destiny that I would one day begin this endeavor. For I seek to bestow my fellow Nerrs with the gift of a harrowing tale, one that stars a true hero. A man with a mission: Luigi. NO. Super Luigi...

Have you ever experienced a time when no matter how hard you tried, you failed, and the time you spent felt wasted? If ever you feel such pangs of regret, try to remember this tale... the story of a young man's quest to save a sweet princess.

The day dawned like any other, but little did Luigi know the letter he was about to receive would forever change his destiny. The man in green himself hummed happily as he cooked up a delicious Fruit Parafait. But his humming suddenly ceased as his hairy ears picked up the familiar sound of Parakarry's "Mail call!" Luigi promptly set outside and retrieved a crisp letter from the mail box. As the letter unfolded, a delicious barrage of bakery smells assaulted the nose of noble Luigi. He scanned it carefully, mustache quivering as its desperate message sank in.

"-Sir Luigi- Danger besets us on all sides, and we beg your help! The foul Chestnut King has stolen our treasure: our fair Princess Eclair. My name is Crepe. I am a cabinet minister in the far-off Waffle Kingdom. The Waffle Kingdom needs your skills. I humbly request your prompt response! Sincerely, Crepe"

Luigi set the letter down, his eyes dancing with an excited gleam. With his older, less talented brother out on a no-doubt inconsequential errand, Luigi took a moment to write out a note about what he was cooking. "Mix a Keel Mango with a Peachy Peach to whip up a Fruit Parafait." This was his moment. He, Luigi, had been charged with this dire task. Hesitating only a teensy bit, Luigi packed up his things and promptly set out from Toad Town. Time for another adventure!

Yeah, I plan to make it a lot better. The idea is that I'll be detailing everything that happened in his adventure a lot more, including all of the travelling and trials that he may not have mentioned. I did not get permission from Luigi to document his adventure. I hope you'll enjoy this anyway. =o

-------------------------------------------------

A land containing an atmosphere of savory aroma. Soft, springy turf and crisp trees with tasty leaves. Forests with rivers that flowed thick with sweet syrup. And curious creatures everywhere, big and small... This was the Waffle Kingdom.

As Luigi stepped off of the ship and onto the checkered dock, he tripped and fell flat on his overlarge nose. With only the grace that a true hero could muster, Luigi quickly picked himself back up and gave a respectful nod to the guard of honor that awaited him.

"This way, Sir Luigi!"

And so they marched through Pastry Town. The inhabitants looked like sugary drops with blue eyes, and many were shedding tears of misery over the tragedy that had struck their kingdom. Yet some of the bright eyes shone with hope and anticipation as Luigi and his escort passed. Their savior had arrived.

At the northernmost sector, just beyond the town gates, a great castle loomed. As Luigi and the creatures beside him approached the syrupy moat, a soft waffle drawbridge descended. The underside was soggy with syrup. This did not escape Luigi's keen notice. Our hero might have drooled just a little bit at this point.

Upon entering the castle, Luigi was immediately greeted by Minister Crepe. He was a tall and thin figure, wrapped with a cloak and wearing a crown of strawberry and cream.

"Sir Luigi! Thank you so much for answering my cry, and that of my people. The cruel and sinister Chestnut King kidnapped dear Princess Eclair and immediately vanished."

Luigi blinked. "Eh... What can I do to help?"

"The Pancake Oracle visited me soon after the tragic happening. She told of a way to find the princess. Our land has a second treasure: the Marvelous Compass. Unfortunately, the Compass itself is divided into seven pieces, for it was broken apart long ago by a powerful curse."

Our hero might have been shaking just a little at this point in the story. Excited, no doubt, for the great adventure that was about to unfold.

"... Are you alright, Sir Luigi? Anyway, the oracle stated that each piece of the Marvelous Compass can point to the next. It just so happens that I know where two of these pieces are..."

"Oh?"

"Yes. One of them is embedded in the tiara of the princess. And the other... lies in my possession."

With these words, Minister Crepe withdrew an object from underneath his cloak. It was a compass base with only one intact section. The minister carefully handed over the artifact to Luigi.

"And so I give you the Marvelous Compass spoken of in Waffler legends... Behold! You are truly the destined hero!"

It had to be so. For the entire compass base had lit right up the moment it rested in Luigi's hands! In an instant a faint vision appeared above the compass, but vanished just as soon as it had arrived. It was the faint outline of a massive mountain. No, not a mountain...

"Rumblebump Volcano!" exclaimed the cabinet minister. "It is in the deep south, on the Pudding Content... You must make your way there posthaste, noble sir! Find the seven parts, and find Eclair."

So it began...

-------------------------------------------------

Chapter 3: Rumblebump Volcano

Minister Crepe had kindly lent our hero Luigi a ship to travel in. The ride to the Pudding Continent was an uneventful prelude to the wild adventure that would soon follow. As soon as Luigi docked on the southern continent, he boldly set out for Rumblebump Volcano, with the base of the Marvelous Compass keeping him on the proper course.

"Uh-oh."

Luigi froze up. He had barely walked ten steps into a dense jungle. And yet already a horrendous howl had sounded, with an echo that seemed to come from all directions. After several moments of tense silence, a second howl, louder this time, drove Luigi's muscles into response once more. Our hero ran for his life! Moving with the speed of a madman, the strong will of our hero both to escape and to find the next piece of the Marvelous Compass gave his feet wings. Soon the howls were left behind as nothing more than a memory. But the horrors that surrounded Luigi would soon greet him in full form...

"Who goes there? I'm not afraid to stomp you!"

Luigi's bold outcry had come forth as a clump of nearby bushes began to quiver. An instant later, our hero's challenge was met as a spider-like beast emerged! It had eight wild eyes, and razor-sharp pincers that clicked with savage impatience, ready to devour poor Luigi. Filled with adrenaline, Luigi utilized a brilliant tactic. He screamed! So loud a scream that the creature itself was paralyzed with fear... Not wanting to rub salt in the monster's wounds, our hero ran once more!

So this went for several days. The jungle was wild, and Luigi had to ford through a river of thick pudding at least twice during his travels. His clothes were left in a terrible condition, and since ponds of syrup rather than water were the only option for bathing, Luigi bore the pudding on his outfit with noble grace.

At last, our pudding-covered hero reached a small town. He was still screaming, having just encountered another monster during his departure from the jungle, and the residents of the town looked upon our hero with an awe that could only be equal to great respect. As Luigi finally quieted himself, a Blooper floated over.

"Hey there. I'm Blooey. No, I don't actually live here, like all of those people who are staring at you. I'm actually on a journey of my own. And I'm guessing that you are too?"

"Huh?" Luigi turned to face Blooey. "Oh... Yes, that's right..."

Moving out of sight of the awestruck townsfolk, Luigi related the nature of his noble quest to the curious Blooper.

"... I see. Well, I think that if you plan to make it safely up and through Rumblebump Volcano, I'm your best bet as a guide. Back in my hometown they call me 'White Torpedo', you know, so I'm pretty tough. Whaddya say?"

"Eh... Why not? A little extra help can go a long way. I gotta rescue that princess!"

"Right. So what are we waiting for?"

The pair, now companions, set off for Rumblebump Volcano... it was located some distance from the town. Luigi and Blooey worked together to bring down several beasts that tried to assail them on their way towards the volcano. They were an unstoppable team.

"It's a little warm," Luigi muttered, the sweat dripping from his brow as he followed the compass up Rumblebump Volcano's side. "Must... find... the... secret... grotto. Ah. Here it is, Blooey. You were right!"

Luigi pressed a section of discolored rock on the volcano's rough surface, and a passage grated open, leading into darkness... Luigi shivered for a moment, but knew that he had to press on.

"Be careful," Blooey warned. "Fall into a lava pool and you'll be crispified. We don't want that, do we?"

"Of course not!"

The dark passage ended as light from the bubbling lava pools greeted our heroes. The heat was intense enough to make the sun sweat. The pair made their way carefully across a rickety bridge, dodging leaping orbs of flame.

"What's that noise?" Luigi inquired, as thunderous crashing met their ears.

"I'm not sure we want to find out, but we have to. Watch out!"

Luigi swiftly ducked as a blade sliced through the air, right where his poor, tender head had been a moment before. He looked down to see that he had stepped on a switch set into the ground.

"Oops..."

"Come on, let's not wait around here. I'm baking. And stay sharp!"

The two made their way through several more rooms, the heat growing continually more intense as they journeyed deeper into the volcano. As they made their entrance into the most massive chamber of all, Luigi nearly passed out. A gigantic, 100-foot-tall statue was stomping around! The noise was close to deafening. Luigi quickly pulled himself together. There was a shining red gem on the statue's forehead... it had to be a weakness!

"I can jump pretty high, but there's no way I can reach that. Not by a longshot!"

Suddenly, Luigi's gaze snapped over to Blooey, who had just swiftly floated out of the way of one of the statue's crushing feet.

"Hey... I think I have a plan. I'll toss you up, and you can slam that gem on the statue's forehead. All you, man!"

Blooey didn't question Luigi's amazing plan. He leapt into Luigi's hand. Our hero took aim, as well as one step forward... and he tripped! Blooey was sent plummeting sideways into a pool of lava.

"Oops... Sorry!"

Blooey shot into the air, screaming with pain! He landed painfully on the ground near Luigi, muttering mutinously.

"Hey, we'll get him this time!"

Luigi picked up Blooey once more, ignoring the Blooper's avid protests. He quickly dodged to the right, avoiding a stomping foot. Then he let fly! This time his aim and his balance were true, and Blooey struck the gem. Bull's-eye! It was a critical hit, and the statue toppled and crumbled into pieces!

Luigi picked up Blooey, who still seemed somewhat out of it. It was an easy stroll from there to the room where the treasure was. Unfortunately, Princess Eclair was nowhere to be found... But another piece of the Marvelous Compass waited within. Luigi promptly put it in the base. There was a flash as the compass pointed west, and the faint image of a small village appeared for an instant.

"Hmm..."

Blooey coughed, his skin bright red.

"It's Plumpbelly Village. It can be found on the Strudel Continent to the west."

"I see, Well, let's go! Besting that statue was pretty easy, huh?"

"Luigi... I'm going to make you PAY!!"

"What was that?"

And so our heroes set out for the next leg of their journey...

-------------------------------------------------

Chapter 4: Plumpbelly Village

The ship docked with no trouble on the Strudel Continent. Luigi and his Blooper companion Blooey could already see a village in the distance. And yet the village itself was overshadowed by an ominous stone structure. Curious to learn more, our heroes set forward...

Plumpberry Village was a savory sight to look upon. The name of the place clearly came from the fat, juicy berries that hung from trees everywhere. This was a town of prosper. Perhaps, that is, in normal times...

"Something's wrong," murmured Luigi, looking around at all of the village residents. Many of them were clearly distressed. Some of them wept openly. They were graceful-looking creatures, wondrous yet sad to look upon with so much misery besetting their innocent hearts. The heartstrings of our hero were tugged.

"Excuse me, Sirs Blooper and Green Man, but who would you be?"

Blooey floated forward. "Yeah, we have names. I'm Blooey, and the man with the 'stache is Luigi. What's happened here?"

"I am the mayor of this village. The situation is absolutely terrible! The nearby ruins have become a den for the giant snake Hizza, who now rules our village. He is a powerful monster, and demands sacrificial lasses to appease him. Hizza... has demanded my own daughter."

Luigi felt himself bristle with fiery indignation.

"That snake monster thing will get a surprise. Rest easy, mayor. Tonight, I face the beast and liberate your village!"

"Oh... You are truly a brave and noble hero. Thank you, Sir Luigi! Now, the custom is for the sacrifice to be dressed as a bride..."

"Oh. Uh... Not a problem!"

"Right. Just one moment, sir!"

The mayor quickly hurried off. He was back a moment later with a flowing gown.

"First, we need a team of liberators. You know, to accompany us in case something goes wrong," put in Blooey. "You never know when we might need some back-up. So instead of sending your normal group to escort the sacrifice, we'll send the team we put together."

"An excellent idea! I know a few viable candidates already. Let me introduce some of them to you..."

And so our heroes were guided through Plumpbelly Village by the mayor. It wasn't long before they had gathered a group of freedom fighters, all raring for the chance to help save their home. Five creatures in all would accompany Luigi and Blooey to the lair of the evil serpent. One of them was different. He was a cherry-red Bob-omb, and he was perhaps the most excited of the elected crew.

"We're really doing this... Let's go! I'm a travelling warrior, you know, just like your friend the White Torpedo. Yes, I've heard of him. He is famous among the journeying warriors. Wherever you're set for, I'll follow!"

Luigi and Blooey learned that the Bob-omb's name was Jerry. Feeling emboldened by the acquisition of one more companion that would stick through the entirety of his travels, Luigi made ready to stroll into Hizza's lair. But first, he had to be properly dressed. And so he got all dolled up...

"What do you think?" asked our hero, his large nose visible beneath the veil that covered his face. He swept it over his head so he could see the reaction of his friends.

"You're all so quiet! I must be one hot sacrifice."

Jerry looked close to falling into a state of unconsciousness.

"I am scarred for life..."

"Right," said Blooey. "Uhhhhhh... I guess we'd better get going. Come on, guys!"

The crew gathered themselves and set off bravely for Hizza's lair. As they exited the village and came close to the stone den, monstrous snake guards looked on with narrowed eyes. Luigi had his veil down again to hide his face as best as he could. It was fortunate for him that the guards had no idea that the nose of the mayor's daughter was significantly smaller than that of our hero.

They had done it! They had fooled their foes and gotten into Hizza's lair.

"The sssssacrifice must go alone..."

The entrance to the serpent's chamber was guarded by two smaller snakes. They hissed dangerously, eyes gleaming with malice - and suspicion.

"Daughter of the mayor? Where isssss she... you have played usssss for fools!"

The beasts lunged! Fortunately, brave Blooey and Jerry leapt forward and struck both of the guards, cutting them off in the middle of their attack. Not for nothing were Luigi's friends known warriors. In an instant both creatures were felled.

"Come on, let's go!" Jerry hopped up and down, still fired up and ready to face Hizza. The team of freedom fighters entered the chamber of the beast...

Hizza emerged slowly from the shadows. Talk about scary! The snake had a second head on its tail! Luigi fainted real quick.

"Ohhhh..."

When he came to, our hero saw the liberators valiantly fighting Hizza. Devastatingly, their efforts seemed futile as the monster easily shook off their attacks. They were desperately dodging the monster's own swift strikes.

"I've gotta help them!"

No time to think! Luigi sprang forth! He stumbled only slightly in his gown. Chiffon really chafes! Twin heads turned their attention towards him and snapped at his heels, fangs dripping venom! Then, as one mouth gaped wide to swallow Luigi, the other crept behind... Our hero recognized the treachery, and feinted before leaping left! The heads collided, and the beast ate itself!

A shining plate fell down on the spot where Hizza's body had been coiled... Yes! Another compass piece!

With his friends looking on with fascination, Luigi set the piece into the compass. This time the needle pointed east... The image of an island appeared for a single moment.

"Circuit Break Island," said Blooey. "Let's go!"

"One second!" exclaimed Luigi. Another voice had sounded. This one, only for his ears... It seemed to echo all around him, and it caused his heart to race! It sounded like a desperate cry for help... The voice was so very beautiful, yet sad. Luigi was certain that it was the voice of Princess Eclair!

The guards outside Hizza's lair received a great surprise. They never expected the sacrifice to return. And they certainly never expected it to be our hero, Luigi, victor over the forces of evil! Filled with energy, our freedom fighters gave the guards a sound trouncing!

"Luigi. Please."

"Eh?"

Luigi turned around. It was Jerry. He looked close to depressed.

"Please. Take it off. Take off that gown... I feel that I now have a moral duty to stop you from ever dressing as a bride again. I have to protect the world from my fate."

"Too much beauty can dazzle even the most firm-hearted warrior. Not a problem!"

Luigi ditched the gown. Jerry and Blooey would both set off with him for Circuit Break Island after a night of rest.

"Wait, kind sir!"

The mayor came forward, daughter by his side.

"You are truly an amazing hero. We would be honored if you would stay! And I as mayor would be honored to have you as a son-in-law. Would you like to marry my daughter?"

The mayor's daughter looked on shyly. Luigi thought about it -she was sorta cute - but he knew that he still had to save Princess Eclair from the Chestnut King!

So it was that Luigi and his two companions ended up sneaking off the next morning. They were ready to face the next set of trials and obtain another compass piece. The quest had to continue.

And now, I will continue with an all-new part of the story.

Chapter 5: Circuit Break Island

Our brave hero's adventure continues as he and his companions, Blooey the "White Torpedo" Blooper and Jerry the Bob-omb Warrior, arrive at Circuit Break Island by boat. The trio clambers out of the vessel, and as they do, a tremendous storm of sounds assaults their ears! Poor Luigi misses a step getting onto the dock and splashes into the water below.

"-cough cough- Th-thanks..." noble Luigi splutters to Blooey, who dove in to rescue him.

"I didn't really owe you one... quite the opposite... but I'll get my revenge on you later."

"Eh? Revenge for what?"

"Let's just go..."

The band of heroes presses on, following the tremendous racket. As they reach further inland, they come across none other than a tremendous stadium! A very long racetrack is set within, and fans fill up the bleachers on all sides. Confetti has fallen, and on a podium nearby, the winner of the race that was just held is receiving an award. Luigi takes one look at the trophy being handed to the winner, and very nearly passes out! Right there in plain sight, attached to it - another piece of the Marvelous Compass!

Jerry waits for Luigi to recover himself, then says, "Well, there's only one thing that can be done. One of us has to enter the next race!"

Blooey backs away a little. "I've never driven karts before... and I don't think that I could... Luigi?"

Our hero hesitates just a little bit, but then he nods. Of course, he's driven in plenty of races before! Maybe, just maybe he had a chance...

"So, those are the rules," said the manager of the race. Luigi has prepared to register for the next race by this point. He's gotta save that princess!

"The Karts will send you rocketing into the sky with their exhaust. They are extremely powerful machines, armed with missiles and bazookas... it's 'anything goes', really. Keep that in mind and you'll do great! Luigi? Are you alright?"

Luigi was shaking. Just a little bit. Then he passed out... for real. It was only a few moments, though, before his friends Blooey and Jerry woke him up, and egged him to work up his courage. With a grace befitting only the great Luigi, our hero mustered the bravery within and signed up for the races!

There was a wait of several days. But, at long last, after much patience, the day of the next race arrived. Luigi was set with one of the best karts, too: the Big Green 01! Sure he had had to beg Torque, a Buzzy Beetle, just a teensy bit to let him borrow it, but that was of little importance. Luigi swiftly took his position along with all of the other drivers. The countdown began, the light went green, beginning the race, and Luigi stomped on the accelerator... but something bad happened! Wouldn't you know it! Our hero still had his kart in reverse. An easy mistake...

The Big Green 01 rocketed backwards at full speed, the driver screaming, surely filled at that point with incredible adrenaline. This was the thrill of the race! It wasn't long before Luigi crashed into part of the track's borders, badly damaging his kart and cutting him off in the middle of his screams.

As it turned out, Luigi's clever maneuver payed off - the rest of the karts in the race crashed because of what had happened. It was pure chaos. A few moments later, Luigi was able to get his machine into gear once more. Now being the only one left on the track, it was an easy victory for the Man in Green.

"Yahoo! I won!" Luigi shouts amidst the moans of pain from his conquered rivals...

Luigi was nothing but smiles as he was handed his reward. After the ceremonies, he snuck away and met up with Blooey and Jerry, who had watched the entire fiasco from the stands. He immediately detached the piece of the Marvelous Compass, which glowed brightly! The faint outline of what looked like a glamorous city appeared for just an instant. And then the voice returned...

"Brave hero... please, be careful..."

"HEY! YOU!"

Luigi was shaken out of his stupor. The voice had now been replaced by the angry shouts of Torque the Buzzy Beetle.

"That's gonna be 5,000 Coins in repair costs for the kart I built, buddy! I'm not leaving until you've payed it all!"

"Eh...?"

Luigi shook his head. He was still dwelling on the beautiful voice of Princess Eclair.

"Come on, let's go!" Jerry shouted, hopping up and down in his excitement. "I recognize that place. It's Jazzafrazz Town, and it can be found if we sail to the east..."

And so our heroes, now joined by a furious Buzzy Beetle named Torque, boarded the boat to depart for the next chapter in their great adventure...

Chapter 6: Jazzafrazz Town

Our heroes arrived at the next dock after a long journey. Luigi's large nose quivered with excitement as he and his companions Blooey, Jerry, and Torque got their first glimpse of Jazzafrazz Town. Soon, sweet princess... our hero thinks to himself.

"Whoah!" exclaimed Jerry, his fuse twitching with wonder. "It's been so long since I passed through here."

"Fancy place," muttered Torque...

Indeed it was. Jazzafrazz Town was alive with all sorts of glitz and glamor. Lights shone from all directions, and great signs and billboards advertised theater productions and other big events. These, too, were everywhere, but not nearly as great in number as all of the Dayzees that were walking around in the streets. Their kind smiles filled the vision of our heroes. Reinvigorated by the very sight, Luigi and co. made their way into the town with all haste.

Though the town was not short in high energy, Luigi could hardly focus. His heart, usually steeped in the cool comfort of a hero's resolve, began to warm with thoughts once more of the lovely Princess Eclair. He remembered her voice... that beautiful voice which spoke of eternity, of stars in the heavens. It wept for those blind to love. It gave comfort in the face of fear and loneliness. Suddenly, Luigi felt his determination swell to newfound heights.

"Come on!" he shouts to his companions through the noise of the crowd. "We have to find that Compass piece - and fast! Eh?"

He stops as he notices a Dayzee staring at him. Behind him, Blooey, Jerry, and Torque all stop, as well. The Dayzee moves over to the band of heroes quickly, and bobs his head in apology.

"Oh, goodness, sir! Forgive me! I did not mean to be rude. But you and your friends - the passion, the fire in your eyes - it's all there. I see talent, buried beneath dust and grit, waiting to be polished into the forefront... oh, if I could have you for my play! We need such talent to shine in our new production, yet we are so short in cast..."

Luigi, not wanting to be rude himself, tries to refuse as politely as he can. "Eh... well..."

"We can't," cut in Blooey. "We're on a journey, actually, and we need to be quick about it. We're looking for the-"

"Compass, did you say?" The Dayzee nods excitedly. "I heard your friend in green shout! My name is Hayzee, by the way. I'm hoping that my cast and I can win the upcoming Drama Slam. The prize is the Dramalama Plaque, and I believe that it may in fact be none other than a part of that great Compass which you seek..."

Our heroes looked at one another, and nodded, though Torque did so rather reluctantly. He was hardly one for the theater. But he agreed anyway, choosing to instead settle by giving Luigi his ugliest scowl.

"Let's go!" Luigi says without hesitation, those thoughts of the trapped Princess Eclair setting his heart aflame with great passion... with her as his inspiration, he would play his destined role, as both a hero and figure of Hayzee's play...

So it was that Luigi and his companions were introduced to the rest of the cast. Their musical was appropriately titled "The Mystery of the Fiery Hat of Social Awareness." They rehearsed, and practiced their parts. Luigi was loving the script. A true masterwork.

At last, the day of the play arrived. The theater was packed! As the curtain lifted, Luigi tried his best to feel as proud as he could in his role. He lay still by the side of a road, uttering no sound, for he was grass. Was this truly the part he was destined to play...?

He maintained his silence throughout the play, listening as everyone else delivered their lines. It was a beautiful performance. Luigi tried not to tear up in some parts, not wishing to compromise his role. As the play ended and the curtain fell, the crowd went crazy! Success!

The musical quickly became the talk of the town, and Hayzee and company won the Drama Slam. Hayzee decided to hold a great celebration party.

"Here you go! It fits, does it not?"

Luigi took the Dramalama Plaque from Hayzee. It was, indeed, another piece of the Marvelous Compass. And yet, despite the recent victory, Luigi was feeling bummed. His role in this latest adventure had been to play grass. Grass! He didn't care if he was wearing green. Who casts someone based on that?

A disheartened Luigi decided then that he would sneak out the back door. The party was hardly helping his mood. But as he emerged, there they were, all cheering for him... his loving fans! Fans of grass! A swarm of Dayzees, shouting his name in adoration... they swarmed him, and Luigi allowed them, both his body and his spirits lifting as they held him above their heads, still cheering.

Several days later, Luigi was ready to depart. Blooey, Jerry, and Torque were all by his side once more, as was Hayzee. They watched as he set the piece of the Compass in place with the others, and a bright light began to shine, even brighter than any of the lights in Jazzafrazz Town. A vision of a ruin within a thick forest appeared for an instant... and then, the voice returned... though none of the others could hear, it serenaded our hero Luigi, filling his heart with their poetry. The desperate cry for help was stronger than ever. Oh, Princess Eclair, our hero achingly thinks. I would be grass for you... I will find you! I will reach you! I will stand by your side and be your Luigi!

Hayzee cuts in. "I know that place!"

Blooey and Jerry both nod, while Torque scowls as usual. They, too, are familiar with the vision that the Marvelous Compass has revealed.

"Those ruins are to be found in Grimble Forest, a very dangerous place, just north of here... but I will follow you to any end of the world, Luigi. I have taught you, and now, you must teach me! But promise that we may tour the world's theaters after our journey! I want to see you play grass to perfection once more..."

And so it was that our heroes gathered their courage and set out yet again, their journey very nearly at an end.
