The particular dungeon he was in had a tomb like appearence. Several other prisoners lie in their cages while others were also shackled to walls, often shivering, begging, and shreiking, most likely because they've gone mad.
The standard guards walked by investigating the prisoners. This one in particular stopped in front of Matt. |

The guard notes something about Matt, and goes to check the Shackles, looking for signs of wear and tear, in which case they would get some new ones. The key to these Shackles was dangling in a teasing way to Matt, hanging on the waist of the guard, right in front of him.... |

MetMan.EXE was lurking in the shadows up near the ceiling.
He did not make any noise and used his cloak to conceal himself.
This was a time for stealth, to be sure.
