I picked it up, and so far, it's pretty good.
I played through what I thought was a decent amount of the game, but after 2 or 3 hours of my playtime, the game's title appeared.
I'll prolly review this soon, but all I can say is that the story doesn't feel as amazing as Ring of Fates... yet. It will probably get better, since it's only the beginning.
Also, online multiplayer for the win. |

I wouldn't call Ring of Fates "amazing" in any regard. But as much as I hated RoF, I'll consider getting this; cross-platform online is something that is not done nearly often enough, and since I loved the original FFCC, I still have hope for this subseries. ФֻФ |

And if it sanks, we still have the original.
I plan on getting this for DS, since the double screens on the TV at once sounds like an absolutely horrible idea. Especially since my TV is quite small.
Because there's this thing called a pause button.
Which could open a menu over the screen, like the PSP remake of FFI and II. And the enemies could still attack you while it's open, as stupid as that is.

They did it to balance the two versions. Which would you prefer online, being able to change your skills on the fly, or holding up your party for 30 seconds while you do it?
But yeah, the DS version is gonna be the superior one in M'aiq's book. |

I dunno... I really, really, really loved Ring of Fates. Something about the story just grasped me and I still can't stop playing it. |

I dunno... I really, really, really loved Ring of Fates. Something about the story just grasped me and I still can't stop playing it. |
I raised a Selkie character to from level 1 to 90, completing the first two difficultes and part of the hardest mode, all solo. Also completed every mission up to the multiplayer ones and the ones that unlock on Very Hard mode, because those get damn difficult.

Bought it for my birhtday ( which was last week). It has a worst story than ring of fates but plays much better. Shame its a bit short lived. |

I doubt it's better than the first, especially since it has online.
Nothing beats playing the original FF:CC in a room with three other guys. |
