Team Fortress 2 and Left 4 Dead are two good games that I can think off of the top of my head.

Where in Time is Carmen Sandiego. That was my favorite game of all time when I was 4.

In all seriousness, Oblivion if you don't have it for the 360.

Mass Effect is the best game you can buy for the PC. Spore and WoW are good. Dragon Age: Origins is coming out soon, and it looks to be good; Fallout 3 and Oblivion are alright if you like Bethesda's "free roaming" style of gameplay (I don't really like how Bethesda sacrifices plot perfection for "open-ness," buy you may.)

KOTOR / KOTOR II if you can get them to work on your computer, and not have them say that your graphics card is "out of date"

Valve games: Yeah, my friend's letting me share his Steam account, anyway.

Oblivion: I has it for 360.

Fallout 3: Oshit, I almost forgot about it. Buying it, mos def.

WoW: No. I've played it once, it's like crack.

Spore: Mebbeh, doesn't seem all that fun to me.

KOTOR: Already played the console versions.

Generally, I'd advise PC games over console, if both are available, thanks to user mods. The two most notable ones that stick in my head are the Oblivion Hilarity mod, and a Darth Revan costume mod in KOTOR.
