Okay, so, obviously, Gaia, being the size that it is, has events on holidays.

And obviously it's an Easter egg hunt right now.

The Easter eggs appear once every minute, randomly.

The total needed for all the prizes available is 635.

That's over 11 hours worth of page refreshing and collecting.
