I'm really tired of this word getting tossed around every time the big bad "Science Explains Everything" *crag* comes around.
Why?
Because Supernatural is just Science by another named.
If I went back in time and flashed a *crag* strobe light into Squanto's hut, well I'm pretty sure people would think he is *crag* crazy too.
Supernatural is just a moniker ignorant people apply to things that are not yet explained or they don't want to be explained.
Take Aliens for example.
For the longest time these *crag* were considered fake, a work of fantasy.
BUT LO AND BEHOLD!
With the rise of Sputnik came the theory of life outside the *crag* solar system!
WHAT A CONCEPT!
I find it slightly insulting that someone can just write off an event as "supernatural" and the general populous will just completely lose interest in whatever topic it might be.
That isn't science!
That isn't discovering what makes the world tick!
That is being a *crag* coward and backing away from a claim just because you don't even know where to start with it.
Pussies. |

Lord Rattata wrote: | Black Holes | They're not supernatural. They have, as far as most scientists are concerned, a valid explanation. They're nothing more than excessively powerful gravitational fields caused by collapsing stars of a certain size and higher. |

Supernatural is what is beyond natural... That's kind of what is implied by the name. I don't think labeling things as supernatural makes the general population not care about them, though. |

What exactly does "beyond natural."
Just because something currently can't be explained doesn't mean it won't be eventually. |

there are people in the world who say the holocaust never happened, that GOD never lets bad things happen to good people, that not being a virgin before marrige is a sin and your eternally damned and there's nothing you can do about it. pfft, these people are just afraid of change, living life even though they have fears, that bad things CAN happen to anyone. i really hate these kind of people. btw i dont hate religious people except for the ones who try to FORCE their religion on to you. |

It is pretty much impossible for it to be "supernatural", since discoveries are natural, meaning inventions are natural, and making nothing supernatural, after all.
Unless you mean that it's beyond the average human's perception of "natural". |

Except science has an explanation and supernatural does not. I feel that anything that is supernatural just doesnt have an explanation yet, and yeah theyre are many scientists that look into this shit trying to find an explanation
....... oh and wtf are you talking about sputnik. Theyre have been and always will be differed opinions on if they exist or not until its actually proven. It just depends on the person's opinion talking about it. And the theory of life outside our universe existed when the concept of an alien was created not after sputnik. Most peoples opinions changed after several theories about space were disproved by the launch of sputnik Actually most of your topics are about how you hate someones opinion. |

M'aiq doesn't consider aliens supernatural by any means.
They are as natural as any other creature in the universe.
It's just the fact that we know nothing about them past a few vague descriptions and photos of their ships.
The only thing that is certain is that any alien race that has visited Earth is far more advanced than our civilization, so it's safe to say "I hope they're not planning to invade..." |

who says they even fly in space ships? for all we know, they could be just like us but not as technologically advanced , just as technologically advanced, or more technologically than us! |

Think about it. They don't live in our solar system, yet they can travel between their planet and ours. Even if you reach light speed, it would still take a very long time to cross those gaps for most races. Their ships can hover in the air, and zip off at breakneck speeds in less than a second.
In order to survive going from 0mph to 500mph in one second, you need to know how to simulate gravity otherwise you'd be crushed in an instant. In order to cross the massive distances some of the theorized alien races would have to cross, they'd need a way to bend space to make travelling faster, unless they are supposed to fly at a constant light speed for over 30 years.
If they have hovered over the Earth before, their ships outclass our most advanced forms of aircraft. |

But yeah, aliens would have to be pretty advanced to be able to reach us. There are probably alien races that are uncivilized and not advanced at all, but those aren't the ones we have "witnessed". |

Because to witness them, we would need the means to travel to them. There are likely alien races out there that are somewhere in the "stone age."
To see aliens with similar or lesser technology, we would have to be as advanced as the ones that watch us. Then their planets would likely have sightings of "us" |
