And this is in general an understatement.
Yesterday, my throat felt scratchy and my nose kept running. Before I went to bed, I had a massive headache that was eased off a bit by some advil Mom gave me. I hardly got any sleep, and when I woke up my scratchy throat felt just as bad and I needed anticongestion medicine before I went to campus. After lunch I felt like I was going to puke. When I didn't, my stomach felt as though there was a hook imbeded within that was trying to wrench it free from my body (outwards and upwards) for an hour!
Now I'm just exhausted, still with the scratchy troat and congestion. |

Sorry that you are not feeling well.
Try looking for ways to relive your scratchy throat and that other thing you mentioned having a problem with.
I'm sure you might find something that is edible that can help.
Like chicken flavored Ramen can help with a cold(I tried this which is why I think it works.)
I hope that you are able to recover soon. |

I had juice today but it was tarty. I suspect the chicken I ate was partially the cause of my post-Lunch problems. Yesterday I had tea and when I head home, I'll have some peppermint tea.
I forgot whether yogurt was good for colds, but when I tried to get some this morning, Mom told me that the milk would create mucus (didn't need that phrasing...).
In the interum, I'll see if I can stomach the pint of brown rice I got. It could be what really caused my post-lunch sickness, but we'll see... This particular stuff reminds me a bit of oatmeal. ._o |

Mix some honey in the tea sometime. Honey does wonders for my sore throats. |

I used to know an acronym for what to eat when you have stomach aches, but I can't remember it. What I do remember is not to eat/drink milk or milk products, and the foods you could eat were things like rice, bananas, plain toast, etc. Be sure to take your temperature, and if you have a fever, go see the doctor. Also, if you're feeling as shitty as I think you're feeling, be sure to drink lots of liquid and get lots of rest.
The only reason I know this kinda stuff is because I get sick all the time. In fact, I'm probably gonna catch your cold just from reading this topic. D: |

I felt the exact same on Sunday. I think it's the flu going around, so don't worry. One day of rest and Tylenol got me back on my feet. |

Thanks for the tips. Really. I just had some mint tea (we were, unfortunately, all out of peppermint and Mom forgot to get some. I didn't ask her if she could buy some, but I did ask if we had any. She thought we did at the time, but it turns out she found out otherwise after sending me off to class.) I'm next going to have a mug of raspberry tea.
The really sucky thing is that since this is one of the last two "real" weeks of classes for the term, I can't take a sickday. For example, had I stayed home today, my Psychology essay would had been worth half of what the total points if I managed to mail it to the teacher before the day was through, as we're apparently taking the next class date (Thursday) to study and talk about the material.
And my cat scratched my face before I came over to reply. *glares at Dusty* He was sitting on the dining room table, I squatted down and stared at his face. I guess he didn't like the way I was breathing because I was making "Huuuh" noises since my nose was stuffed up and I had to breathe through my mouth. He later yelled at me when I did the same sort of breathing while I was standing up and he was on the floor. Anyway, I almost hit him but I stopped myself in time. Since he was (for some reason) now under the chair, I shook the chair like mad to scare the metaphorical pants off of him. The small openings on the left side of my lower lip and my left cheek stopped bleeding, but head-wounds bleed more then they aught to for such small shallow cuts...
-Edit- By the way, I think it was a mixture of the chicken nuggets, the barbecue sauce, and possibly the tarty grape juice I had at lunch that made me feel like I was going to puke. I doubt it was the juice, so that leaves the nuggets and the sauce. |
