Why is this? Because, if Nintendo did decide when they made the first game to use only the original 150 for all future games, everyone* would say "BAAAW GIVE US SOMETHING NEW".
However, because Nintendo is doing just that and giving us something new, everyone* is saying "BAAAW GIVE US THE OLD ONES".
Due to this, it is impossible to create any new Pokemon sequel that will please everyone.
*This does not take into account the fans who will mindlessly buy every game and love it regardless of content |

I'd like to see them work their way out of the corner with just Astrologic Pokemon and a devil rival to Arceus to work off of |

Yes, a devil equivalent to God would be cool. Like Satanatas. (satan back and forward) |

They'd have to be incredibly subtle to avoid bawing from the overprotective parents. Satanatas isn't exactly that. |

I wonder why R/S/E Was so good, then? It's the only one I'd want to replay. |

Remake Gold/Silver/Crystal. Then NEED to do it. That, and possibly another yellow version, except you can go to all of the regions. |

They should've just stuck with the original 150 pokemon, or atleast not add a shitload of pokemon each new game. |

Here's a better idea: they should do something new. Rework the battle system or give it a better half-decent plot. Or both. But, you know, they make METRIC SHIT-TONS of money without innovating so why would they do that? ФֻФ |

I believe that it was already established that the fans would just baw due to the lack of new shit. As for the plot thinking, It needs tweaking in how the characters react. Cyrus just plain says "HERE'S THE BEST POKEBALL IN THE GAME THAT YOU WOULD UNDOUBTABLY USE ON THE POKEMON I CALL FORTH" |

Yeah but still it's ridiculous, we don't need that many *crag* pokemon I can't even remember over half of them. |

Might as well toss my two pence into this: 1. Non-grid-based movement. Free movement would be fantastic, as I have always thought moving like you're playing Boulder Dash to be far too slow. 2. Immediate, real-time battles. As in, battles occur similar to Chrono Trigger, and you take direct control over the Pokemon. The four moves assigned to the face buttons, and the player actually having to run from battle if they choose to "flee". 3. Free-flight. The inability to land on a route has always bugged me, so being able to fly wherever manually as opposed to a menu would open up the game by a large amount. 4. Time affects performance. Playing the game at 1 in the morning would make your Pokemon's attacks less powerful and slower than at 11 am. 5. No Black-/white-outs. You have to take your KO'd PKMN to a Pokemon Center yourself.
I'll edit in any other ideas I get.

Honestly I don't think they should have gone any farther than the 3rd gen, 383(might be wrong, I can't remember the old number) is enough pokemon. Christ when you think about it, there's almost 500 pokemon. I used to think that was a *crag* insane number of pokemon, but it actually happened. I swear to god i'm going to be pissed if they make another generation of pokemon. I can't remember 600 names ): And I'm really tired of the old battling system they've been using since R/B/Y. I sort of liked how they did it in PMD, it was a lot better than having to go through an encountering scene EVERY *crag* TIME you battled someone or something. The other thing I liked about PMD's "battling" system (idk if you would call it battling in that game) is that you don't have to have some *crag* insane strategy to defeat a pokemon(well, the pokemon aren't really strong, but if you think about battling a friend while trying to complete a dungeon, you wouldn't have time to have some complicated strategy going). It's more of a test of power, which is a lot more fair than coming up with some really complicated strategy(unless you use AR to make your pokemon super strong, which is a different story). Also like Matt said, they should allow free movement in the game. Grid based movement is really slow and annoying. |

I don't even bother with the non-dungeon pokemon games anymore. I just download the battle simulators because the competitive side of the game beats the grindan and story. |
