Stop n' Swop II has got me thinking.

What would you guys rather have, a new old school Banjo game or a sequel to Nuts n' Bolts?

I've just recently played through all three, and I have to say that I still prefer the old games over the new one.

Don't get me wrong, I love the new Banjo, but it just can't beat all the charm the original had.

Learning new moves, fighting a shit load of bosses, transformations; not to mention all the crazy easter eggs and secrets that Nuts n' Bolts doesn't have a lick of.

Rare is a great company in the sense that they put a lot of heart into tier products, specifically Banjo because he is in many ways their mascot.

There are dozens of references to Rare and hidden jokes in each game, and there is always some hint of secrets yet undiscovered.

A door that can't be open, a picture of an old level, discovering a secret room with a colored egg or BK Pak, or another clue to Stop n' Swop.

Both of the Banjo games were parodies of the industry, self aware comedies of what games were and still are.

They are extremely self aware, even the characters all know they are in a game and it only adds to the charm.

Yet through it all, it still manages to be a serious challenge.

I've spent an hour or more for a single Jiggy, and that is because Rare is *crag* crazy.

Just think of all the game mechanics in Tooie.

Transformations, casting spells, Chuffy the train, splitting up, Kazooie being lighter and faster than Banjo, all of Banjo's backpack moves, all the new and old moves that have to be learned, moving between stages, five different kinds of eggs.

The list goes on.

This is the diversity that makes Banjo a great game.

And this is the charm that makes Banjo an amazing property.

Need ye more proof?

Even today there are still huge sites devoted to Rare ans specifically Banjo.

*crag* Mario, *crag* Sonic, *crag* Duke, and *crag* Pacman.

Banjo is the symbol of my generation of gamers, and that ain't ever gonna change.

I'd prefer an oldschool Banjo game but it's not like I don't like them taking the series in a new direction. I really like N&B, and maybe it's just the nostalgia, but the old games are just amazing. Either way, though, I wouldn't be disappointed, and I can't stress that enough. ФֻФ

They need to make sequels for both of them, and release them both at the same time.
