Also, I don't think very many people will buy this, unless they make it a million times better than a PSP and make it cost less. The DS beat out the PSP by about four times. The DS lite beat out the PSP by about 11 times. If this is just a PSP who's screen slides up and down for compaction, it's going to be a commercial failure.

Sony's been performing really good this past year. I may actually end up getting this. |

PSP's still sell really well. The DS just has the whole soccer mom userbase, that Sony doesn't have This one does not have a UMD slot, and it only plays downloadable games.
And you forgot about the psp bright, dude. |

And you forgot about the psp bright, dude. | Exactly. The PSP is only paled by the DS because the DS sees much, much more shovelware than the PSP. Look at the DS, and you'll find a shitload of games that severely exploit the DS' touch screen for some boring game. The PSP lacks sales, and games, only because it appeals to a few select crowds. My PSP games easily pale out the DS games I have, and I have twice the amount of DS games as I do with PSP games.
And I'm guessing that this means that the pirate community is rejoicing at this? |

Knowing Sony, they probably locked that thing down. You probably won't be able to play pirated software without a modchip.
And about the whole analog nub thing, yeah its not a great analog stick, but come on, it's a portable system. I have no problem just using the D-pad, it's not a big deal. I don't see the DS having any form of analog stick. I'd rather use the analog nub than rubbing a stylus across the screen to control a character any day. |

They could at least put two on it. I'm still waiting for FPS in your pocket. I hate moving in Metroid Prime Hunters. |
