I'm wondering about what game system I should get, and I need help. Now, I think I should compare the two.

The XBox 360 is good for the following points:

- It's somewhat affordable, depending on what kind of model you're looking for.
- Its XBLA Collection has some unique games that may have been done before.
- It has Rareware Titles on XBLA AND Game Disc.
- Apparently, it also has online play for a majority of the titles.

The only Con I can think of is that Red Ring of Death that can be fixed, after you either send it to Microsoft, OR go to an authorized repair place, like a nearby Play N Trade.

The PS3 is a better thing, too. It has...

- A library of PSOne Classics up for purchasing on PS3 AND PSP.
- It has some of the same titles that XBox 360 and XBLA has.
- It supports Memory Stick PRO Duo.

But the downside is that it's more expensive.

And the only thing that they'd have in common is that it would require a Wireless-N Gaming Adapter, which can go for up to $100. So, should I get a 360 OR a PS3 (I'm a Capcom Fighter Fan, so either is good)? Or should I ditch those two choices, and get a Nintendo DSi?

Do you have an n-only router? Many n-routers also support b and g.

So, if you can use b/g devices on your wireless-n network, then you would not need anything extra for the PS3. But no Xbox 360s comes with any wifi capabilities, so you would need to get the $100 wifi adapter. This, plus having to pay for Live, makes the Xbox more expensive than the PS3.

Xbox has a nicely integrated online experience, so if all you do is play online games, and all your friends have 360s, then you should probably get a 360.

The PS3 can also play BluRay discs, and it makes a much better movie player than the loud Xbox 360. Also, the PS3 integrates really well with the PSP if you have one.

Get a DSi if you are satisfied with the Wii as your only console and you want something portable (and you don't already have a DSLite)

Well, I DO have a Linksys Wireless-N RangePlus Router. MUCH better than G. I'll get a DSi, because the DS Lite only supports WEP, and not WPA/2, like what the other devices of mine have. My mom doesn't want to change the Security, and I shouldn't force her. Plus, the DSi has some exclusive stuff. I'll probably go for a Gamefly membership, though. At 10 bucks a month, you won't have to waste major amounts of money on a game likely to be completed within a day to a week.

I vote PS3. The exclusives on the PS3 beat out the 360's exclusives by a lot, imo. And if you already have a DS, don't get a DSi. For the DSi, you should wait until either the price drops, or they start making DSi-exclusive games.

Well, it all depends on what kind of exclusives you like on each platform. I'm gonna go and vote on PS3 since I've got one.
I think it's got a better variety of games than the 360 and the online service is pretty much the same. Some older, crappy games lag a bit, but most newer games are perfectly smooth.

Well, I'll get a PS3, AFTER I get a DSi, of course. Besides, I DO like the Capcom Fighters, and Street Fighter IV is ALSO for PS3, as well as XBox 360. The Same goes for Marvel Vs. Capcom 2. Besides, the DSi is improved OVER the DS! And I don't want to have my mother change the Security Settings, just to accomodate MY needs!

DSi sucks though D:

I would get the PS3 FIRST, THEN the DSi, since I already have a DS.

oh wait i don't.

Well, I'm getting it, anyway, even IF the graphics would look worse on it! WEP Security is WEAKER, and makes the network more vulnerable! Besides, It's not like Nintendo's gonna make a NEW DS Lite, which would have all the features of the DSi, EXCEPT for the Cameras, and keep the GBA Slots, as well as the WPA/WPA2 Support.

Don't get the DSi. It's completely worthless if you already have a DS or a DS lite. That's just about the worst decision you can make in this situation. And with a PS3, you don't have to change the security settings.

My mom has the Linksys set for WPA/WPA2 Type Security, and she doesn't want to change the settings to accomodate my every need.

PS3 can do WPA.

Plus, you shouldn't base your choice solely on that. WEP is the only thing compatible with everything, WPA sucks. She's going to have to change it, eventually, so why not now?

Because the DS Lite does NOT have WPA/WPA2 Support, like the DSi does. Only WEP Support.
