On a more serious note about furries, I show sympathy toward furries and fetishists; contrary to popular belief, most fetishists don't consciously choose to become fetishists. Sexual arousal isn't something that can be influenced by the human will; if it was, I could make my penis hard at will without thinking about anything sexual at all. But I can't. In addition, the same argument that gays use can be applied here: why would anyone choose to be attracted to things that could cause them to be the subject of such ridicule and hatred?
I'm no biologist, so I cannot say that fetishism is caused by genetics or by the environment. However, it is evident that fetishism doesn't result from choice; only acting upon that fetishism results from choice. This is why I say to all fetishists: have your communities, and exchange your porn with eachother. It is no lie that a lack of sexual stimulation can cause some individuals to slowly decay psychologically; coupled with the fact that some fetishists may only find themselves attracted to their fetish alone, it is obvious that this compromise must be made.
So, we must stop ridiculing them, and showing them mindless hatred. They did not choose to be the way they are, and the only reason they're acting upon their fetishism is because they're satisfying their sexual needs, just like everyone else satisfies their sexual needs.
Of course, when it comes to fetishes that can prove potentially harmful to other people (Such as Pedophilia), the best course of action would to allow people to keep their works to fantasy (As in pornographic artwork), instead of acting upon it in the real world. This is a compromise that we can all find reasonable. |

Not all furries are bad. Of course, nobody likes the ones that center their entire life around their fetish. Just like nobody likes homosexuals who try to embody every gay stereotype in existence.
