I saw it today, and I don't usually say this about movies because I think it sounds kind of gay, but I thought that it was "cute".
and disney didn't really *crag* it up. |

The art style made me think of stuffed animals. Colours that are bright without being oversaturated and blinding, and no sharp edges anywhere. Ponyo's dad has a great face.
The story was a little slow, but I didn't really mind. It's obviously intended for younger audiences, and it's still a lot better than the average animated movie these days. Weird too, but that's kind of to be expected.
Also, I watched Grave of the Fireflies last night and was all depressed, and Ponyo made me happy again. |
