user based shops!
so, here's what I've thought up. you can buy rights to a store for say, 200 coins. from there, you can make items that have no effect using some kind of item designer (which could cost money). maybe you could even let it have minor effects on health and stuff, if it's easy to pogram. and then you have it added to your shop. the cost of the 200 coins will stop EVERYone from having one, and otherwise, it should be fun.
and of course, all money spent at the store goes to it's owner. |

I like the item designer idea, but I think that it should have different effects that one may be allowed to give the item. Each effect would cost a certain number of coins. The final cost of all of the effects would determine the cost to make the item. The item designer might be able to be bought for a high number of coins and would cost 10 MP to use, and would require a certain minimum score to use.
Perhaps it would be a one-use item that would allow you to make as many of one designed item as you wanted with a single use of it. If it costs a lot to get the item designer, people would be reluctant to make any items with it until they had a significant amount of money. |

If you can create items that actually have actions, then the system can be abused. Like you could sell an "Pure-??? Shroom" that costs 1 coin that gives you Full HP.
Even if they can't be used, I still don't want the market flooded with a ton of ugly useless items. |

that's where the posssiblity of needing to pay to make an item. and yah, your right about the abusability of having effects. but with some prices and limits it could be a fun way of having status items and such. and making money. but it was still thought out pretty well. a lot of those things were just possibilities. |

Oh I have thought about it before. And I think the first step is to let people sell existing items.
I'm still not sure if user-created items will ever happen. |
