I've heard several cases recently of Wiis overheating, damaging the system and creating dead pixels. I think this has happened to me...it's just one or two pixels, but it's somewhat noticeable. Should I call Nintendo and get it replaced?

my sister doesn't want to because she'd loose around 50 dollars in wii shop points/games.

SOLUTION: Buy SD Card. Put stuff on SD Card. Get Wii repaired. Put stuff back on repaired Wii.

As per usual, unplugging the Wii then plugging it back in has fixed all problems >_>

I came back from vacation, found my Wii on it's side, and the side that it was on was very hot. But no fires. Or overheating.

Problem is, if you can't get it repaired, you have to get a new Wii. And a VC game can only be put on and be used from an SD Card if it as already been downloaded.

(I was tempted to write "OBJECTION!" at the beginning of this post...)

False alarm. The dead pixels are still there ;_;

It's extremely annoying...it might just be my TV, but I dunno...it doesn't seem to appear on games or when watching television...

Dead pixels? Can someone please give me an example of those? I'm not sure I have them on my Wii.

Pixels that are always the same color when the screen, no matter what. My old DS lite had a black dead pixel.

I looked at my Wii screen and I see little lines running up the screen. Are those dead pixels? Well, the lines are really tiny and there isn't a lot of them.

Maybe I got them for not playing my Wii in over a month.

Actually, I think that's just normal screen behavior.
