1- This is asking too much from game developers. It's completely unrealistic and would ruin lots of games.

2- If we can't jack cars in games, do you want us to in real life then? Because I don't see any better suggestions. I don't always play games like GTA, but they're a good way to just let loose once in a while.

3- If all of this were to happen, most of the adult gamer population would stop playing and developers would lose a lot of money. Maybe people make these games because they sell (and they do). So don't hate them for wanting to make money, just don't buy the game.

Yeah, I'm fine with the idea of violent games being unrealistic. It's just that basically getting rid of all violent video games seemed like a pretty unreasonable goal.

I agree. I don't like violent video games (unless they're based on Historical events) But if it's in a fantasy world or something, I don't think it will have that much of an effect on some people.

In my opinion, we need variety. The game industry would suck if every game was like GTA, but it would also suck if every game was like Mario or Sonic. That's why I like the Wii; you get a pretty even mix of more serious titles like Zelda or Metroid, and you get light-hearted ones like SPM or Galaxy. And you got in-between ones, like Brawl.

Now, games like GTA aren't all bad. GTA is filled with quality satire and story; in other words, it isn't some dumb murder simulator. I believe that we need games like that to balance out the quirky, light-hearted ones; unlike what this site says. Otherwise, things would go stale.

There are some games that blue skies wouldn't fit. That's a bunch of kiddy stuff. Castlevania is one of these games. Who can think of more?

I kind of agree. I hate games like GTA, but I'm okay with them existing. There just needs to be more good games with blue skies like Zelda.

And saying a blue sky is just kiddy stuff means you think looking outside on a clear day is immature.

They have some good points, and some of their points suck.

We need BOTH GTA and Mario type games. Sometimes you want to let loose and kill a whole bunch of pixel-people, sometimes you want HappyFunTime, and sometimes you want a good theatrical experience.

However, the new Sonic games really do suck, and they definitely need to go back to blue-skies-ness. I mean, hedgehogs are small furry woodland creatures. They're kyoot and kuddleh and skweeeezable. They are not badass, not even if you give them guns and motorcycles.



And I would like female characters to be less slutty. o___o;
I mean, like, just look at the armor in most MMOs. The males get suits of armor with helmets and everything. The females get, like... chain mail bikinis. o__o; How is that going to protect anything? The male armor looks realistic but the female armor is basically gratuitous fanservice for the 11-year-old boys playing the game to jack off to. Why don't the female players get realistic-looking armor too?
Even in kids games, female sexuality is a 'selling point,' if you will. I mean, look at Goombella, Flurrie, Vivian, and Miss Mowz in TTYD. Like, half their attacks were "Infatuate," "Tease," "Smooch," and "Rally Wink." God forbid we have a female that actually FIGHTS LIKE A REGULAR FIGHTER. @__@; Nooooo. They use their ZOMG POWERS OF HOTTNESS to distract the enemy, so the male fighter can finish the enemy off. -_-;

And, now that my mini-rant is over... I leave you with this.
