Well, right before you fight Fracktail, Dimentio appears. I'm still wondering, why does Tippi say, "Hey, I know you... your that..." I mean, Mario and Tippi have not seen Dimentio before this. This is gonna be wrong and all, I was thinking... was Dimentio part of the tribe of darkness? |

If he wasn't, he was at least involved with them somehow. I'm pretty strongly convinced that he had something to do with Blumiere's father arranging Timpani's disappearance... |

I do have my own theory concerning Dimentio's origins, however... |

Or Merlon told Tippi stuff about Bleck already, along with his minions.
Trying to keep fanfic theories out. They're sometimes entertaining, but I'd like credible stuff better. |

Odds are, Tippi could've thought it was he who is Count Bleck. This was before her "memory outburst" after all. Dimentio filled the role of main villan quite nicely: classy, sarcastic, a little dumb, (his final remarks about the snacking of Fracktail snacking on the heroes...scared me) very arrogant, and overall seeping with power. He fit Supervillan Role #2 perfectly. #1 is smart, powerful, and basically...uh...power-mad, but too arrogant to see your own flaws (Bowser and Ganondorf are prime examples) |

The Mario Wiki also calls this 'mysterious'. Likely, dull theories are that Merlon just told them or that Tippi had heard of him before. I do not know which of the theories to believe, though, so... |
