Azumanga Daioh is one of the greats in anime. There is no better in the categories that it covers. I kinda like how Tomo and Yomi's relationship mirrors that of Yukari-sensei and Kurosawa-sensei. It even becomes more obvious when Tomo actually enjoys riding in the Yukari-mobile. Oh, and Kaorin is the cutest lesbian EVER!!!
I sometimes find myself comparing myself to Ayumu "Osaka" Kasuga. I've lived in Texas for most of my life, but I never rally seem to act very Texanish, just like how Osaka doesn't really act like a typical Osakan. She's unathletic, I'm unathletic. Her mind works differently from most people's, my mind works differently from most people's. There was that one time when she stares at a dust mote (I think it was a dust mote) with rather intense focus (she didn't even notice all the panicking around her caused by a bug), and I've found myself focusing on things such as that.
Isn't there a movie called "Lord of the Yen" with scenes from this on youtube ? I can't see the video right now (school computer odesn't allow flash... T__T) but in the end of the Lord of the Yen they said and displayed a logo "Azumanga Daioh" ... Somebody search that youtube vid, kay ?
