If you look at a dead Goblin Shredder you can see the old Starcraft
logo on the display inside the cockpit.

if you pickpocket a naga (an odd creature that looks somewhat like a mermaid, except it looks more like a reptile), you can loot a shiny dinglehopper.

#3 mystery of jimmy hoffa
While fishing you have a chance to obtain a "Teamster's Skull". this is
a reference to teamster unions and their boss Jimmy Hoffa. One day
he mysteriously disappeared and his body was never found.

#4 atkins diet
theres a guy named hamlin atkins in the trisfal glades that wanders around selling mushrooms. the atkins diet focuses on low carb foods, and mushrooms are low carb.

#5 Top Gun
all the wing commanders in alterac valley have names from the pilots call signs in top gun.

#6 The loch ness monster
if you jump off onto the walkway in the deeprun tram when going past the water area you will see a threshadon (a creature that looks like the loch ness monster) named nessy.

#7 the little mermaid
at the same area, a naga named "little mermaid" is over by the ships.

#8 barnum and bailey's circus err, bank
a banker in ironforge is named barnum, another banker is named bailey. a reference to barnum and baileys circus.

#9 blizzard employees
A teacher walks around stormwind with a bunch of kids, all of whom have the names of blizzard employees.

#10 popeye reference
topper mcnabb in stormwind will sometimes say "i will gladly pay you <next day> for a hamburger today.

#11 intelligence agency
in stormwind there is an intelligence agency known as SI:7. this is a reference to the british intelligence agency MI:6.

#12 killer bunny
in stormwind You can somtimes hear two youngsters talk
about storys their father told them. and one of the boys says "and then the
rabbit jumps up and bites his head up". this is a reference to the movie Monty Python and the Holy Grail

#13 bob-ombs
the walking bombs look like bob-ombs from mario

#14 Binary
The 3005 Punch Card Machines all have numbers on them, which in
binary translate to various phrases. these include "play more WoW" "tell your friends to play WoW" and "play the warcraft roleplaying game" wow, i guess blizzard really is evil!

#15 grimlok
in the badlands there is a T-rex named grimlok. When he attacks he shouts, "ME GRIMLOK, KING!". The T-Rex
transformer of the dinobots was named Grimlock. He was the king.

#16 When you're in the "event" fighting Lord Victor Nefarius and
Warchief Rend Blackhand will shout out taunts. Such as...
"Served"
"Woot!"
"You idiots! Kill the one in the dress!"
"Inconceivable"

#17 da juggernaught
at the end of the deadmines, you must fight vancleef, who is onboard a ship. his ship resembles that of the Juggernaught, a Warcraft II
Orc naval unit, there was also a secret model of this in Warcraft III that wasnot used in Melee.

#18 scooby doo!
If you're standing at the exit of the Deadmines instance and take
a left out of the cave you'll find a small little farm house with a NPC named Daphne, she has red hair and a violet jacket. There's also a dog house, with a picture of a scooby snack near it. Obvious refrence to the TV series, ScoobyDoo

#19 silence of the lambs
One of the Blacksmiths in Darkshire talks about how the wind sounds
like lambs screaming, a reference to "The Silence of the Lambs", enforcing this more, her name is Clarice.

#20 Legend of zelda
in Un'Goro crater there's a NPC named Linken, a refrence to Link from the Legend
of Zelda series, if you don't know who this is, then you probally never owned a Nintendo system.
One of his quests, has a reward for "Linken's Boomerang", one of Link's items throughout the series.

At one point, Linken says that he remembers a raft. A refrence to "Link's Awakening" where Link is sailing on his raft and gets caught in a storm, to
awake on an island.

One of the quests involves a creature named Aqumentas, Aqumentas is actually a winged, horned green dragon from the Zelda games.

Next to Linken, there is a kodo named Dadanga, Dodongo was the boss
of the Dodongo Cavern in Zelda's OOT. If you talk to her owner, she says he hates smoke. In the Original NES ZElda, you talk to an old man who warns Link that Dodongo hates smoke.

There's a quest that has you retreive a chunk of meat on a bone,
this is similar to in the original Zelda. As an added refrence the vendor you buy the meat from says, "Buy somethin' will ya?" which is what the vendors said in the original Zelda game.

There's a quest called "It's Dangerous to go Alone" which is what the old man says when he gives Link his sword in the original Zelda game.

There's a quest called "It's a Secret to Everybody" which is what a moblin says if you find a secret area in the original Zelda game.

#21 The super mario bros
There are two guys in Un'Goro dressed like the Mario Brothers with names
Larion and Muigin.
Larion is a dwarf in red and blue and is friendly to the Horde. He hates
Muigin's fascination with bloodpetals and occasinaly runs out to attack them with his hammer. Larion sometime states, "I wish I could just jump down a pipe and get away from them..." Muigin is dressed in green and blue and friendly to the alliance.

#22 lost vikings
something about these three dwarves who want you to get the staff of stol and the amult gnik'iv. tsol is lost spelled backwards and gnik'iv is viking. im not sure where this is at because i havent been to the area they are in. im also not sure if all this is correct.

im sure there are more, but these are all the ones i (meaning my friends who hit 60) can come up with.
