I would consider having a moderator for the Role-Play forum, because I hardly ever look in there, and there are tons of posts. |

In most forums, mods (and other staff) are chosen by the quality of their posts and most help out. That is generally how staff is chosen. I should know, I'm a Blog Assistant on another website which contains forums.

For the most part. Good deeds get rewarded.
Most forums that I've been to have a point system under the avatar. Ranging from -5 to 5, with 0 being where every one starts. Then when you help out a lot, to gain a point if a mod says you earned it. If you constantly break rules you lose points. Most of the time a person with -5 points ends up getting banned.
