It's something I thought of shortly after dinner.
How about we somehow construct or develop a virus that only targets cancerous cells. The virus injects its genetic material into the cancerous cell. The cell constructs more of that virus. Then the new viruses (virii? Ionno what the plural would be.) ... Then the new viruses break the cell and attack other carncerous cells. When no more cancerous cells can be found, they go dormant. The immune system might destroy all the dormant viruses or not. I'm not a microbiologist (yet) so I wouldn't know.
Please take note that this is an idea that I came up with while brushing my teeth, not a well thought out plan. |

The problem is, how do you tell it not to go and eat all those nice, nourishing non-cancer cells ? Nature doesn't let people tinker with it, at least not for long. The body has far greater control over the brain then vice versa, regardless of the brains' opinion on that matter... |

that's basically what we do now, but it's with radiation, and radiation attacks ALL the cells... just attacks the cancerous cells more harshly. |
