On some poor excuse for journalism they go on about how "evil" emo is and they continually reinforce it by pointing out whether people involved in a story are "emo" kids or not. A while ago, they had what "signs" of being emo are:
* Spending a lot of time alone
* Owning a MySpace or LiveJournal account (I thought MySpace = 16 year old camwhores who're usually mainstreamers)
* Not eating proper meals/having an eating disorder (Again, anorexia is found in my high school in the mainstreamers more)
* Acting depressed
* Listening to "shock" groups/musicians such as My Chemical Romance or Marilyn Manson
* Wearing the color black (What?)
* Wearing a lot makeup
What the Hell? Half of these are so broad they could apply to anyone.
OH SHIT we're all emo!

Then there's the fact that the godawful excuse for a news coverage makes it seem that emo is a mental disease. Of course, they have to include the BAAAAAWWW cutting. BECAUSE EVERYONE WHO WEARS BLACK CUTS. |

I spend alot of time alone. I prefer this because all the people at my school are "gangsta" or a slut. I eventually developed this into my personality as self defence.

I laugh at MySpace. Everybody has a MySpace. That is why I detest it.

I eat alot. I eat good food, too. And I don't vomit it back up on a regular basis.

Techno is for me. Also videogame music. Also, I usually don't listen to music with lyrics.

I like darker colors because light colors symbolyze optimism to me. I would rather be around a pessimist than an optimist.
