Just so I'm clear... is it okay to put a banner for your website or a link in your sig?
I mean, it's not truly advertising, and yeah, all those other excuses that people use.
So is it okay or NO GOOD? |

a link in your sig is fine. A small banner is ok. No blantant advertising though. And, it would be nice if you linked back here |

Wouldn't that be an affiliation?
Affiliation = best way to get members. |

Our site is probably going to try to affiliate with Digibutter once it is done. |

What if I gave Francis my site's URL and he gave it a look over?
Well Francis? Is Affiliation bad for you? |

I wouldn't mind posting links to other sites with similar (but non-conflicting) interests. |

My forum is "United Gamers of the Interwebs", it was created before I knew about your forum... and before Super Paper Mario.
I'm an admin there, but not ROOT admin.
We're basically doing our best to cover everything involving gaming and... the internet in general, that appeals to the majority of our members. So far, though, we've only gotten a few members, and can't find any way to advertise. Where do you advertise, besides just hoping people join up from the Super Mario wiki?
(if you want the link I can post it here or PM it to you, whichever you prefer) |

I havnt advertised at all. Its quite a phenomenom. That and I have added content to keep members around, and members make more members. Hopefully we keep growing *crosses fingers* but a lot of that is up to you guys.
(side note: I kinda have plans on expanding the site into more general Nintendo site, as Paper Mario fades away, this site's popularity will too probably) |

I doubt it. I mean sure Paper Mario was the reason a lot of us came here in the beginning but the site has evolved through the content and the members into something a lot more. |
