I know there are a lot of Phoenix Wright fans here, but no one is really talking about the third DS game (releases today). I have not played any of the Phoenix Wright games... do I need to start with the first?

If you hurry and preorder from Gamestop or the Capcom store you get a free keychain plushie:

I think if you want to understand the storyline, you need to start with the first.

But yeah, I'm hoping to get it not so long after its release.

I love the Ace Attorney series (even if I don't have a DS, shame on me), and I really can't wait to try this game, although I already know the plot, the characters and how the story ends XD

Anyway, even without a DS, I tried the previous episodes and I can assure you that they're great! Despite it being a graphic adventure, I can assure you that some plot twists and some crazy use of evidence at the right time make this game surprisingly entertaining! I highly reccomend it =D

I've played the second one, but not the first. You should prbably start with the first one, but it's not all that necessary.

It's very plot heavy, so if you want the whole experience, play all of them first.

I pirated T&T since I just can't wait.
