About 10 minutes ago, I was flipping through channels on the TV in my bar (well, the room has a bar, but there isn't any alcohol). Anyway, there's a little nook above the TV, and there's a wind-up music thingy. The last time it was used was, well, years and years and years ago. It's been moved between houses many times. It's storming here, and the power went out for about 5 minutes. So, this little wind-up gizmo randomly started playing. At first it was just a little 'ding'. But then, it started to chime. It played for about 12 seconds, and then stopped. My brother and I looked at each other, and we each shuddered. The power came on about 20 seconds after the chiming stopped.
Guuhhh... I'm freaked out. |

Its happened before. It was probably wound up already, but stuck. Something must've caused it to vibrate and get unstuck.

Well, very random last statement. Anyway, I don't know how it could've been triggered... The TV is under it, and not even loud enough to cause vibrations. |

I have a wind-up music box that also plays when loud noises are made for some reason. Maybe yours is similar? |

Let's think 'bout this logically. You say you think your house is haunted.
- Has anything even close to this every happened before? - Was the electricity gone in the entire neighborhood? - Examine the object ( the one that chimed ). Look for a logical explanation before you let yourself become scared.
If you can answer 'no' to question one and 'yes' to question two I think you need not be afraid at all- even if you answers are different I still think that you need not worry, though.
Lots of things that are hard to explain happen, you know. |

1. Yes, lots of weird things have happened (the creepiest time there were weird footprints in my living room that were too big to be may cats', but weren't the most huma looking things either)
2. The power was out on my street.
3. After closer examination... The object doesn't show any signs of weirdness. I shook it and it didn't make any noise, and its wind-up handle is gone. |

I'd totally flip out if that would happen. Be glad you weren't alone.
Anyway, it's a wind-up thingy. So it couldn't have been electrical disturbance. So yeah, it doesn't have any logical explanations. If I were you, I'd rip the spring out of that wind-up thing. It avoids further haunting. |

EDIT:
Ah!
I just opened a pack of Sugar Babies (you know, the candy), and a perfect pyramid of them fell out in a group (they were stuck together) with three on the bottom, two in the middle, and one on the top! Haunted candy! I have haunted candy now!!
I also hope you realize that candy thing wasn't serious. But they DID come in a pyramid. |
