Welcome to Paper Mario VS. Here, we shall compare random things about Paper Mario, Paper Mario: TTYD, and Super Paper Mario as they will fight TO THE DEATH! Or perhaps until they just get bored...whatever happens first. Anyway, there will be a poll constantly changing at my discression (or another mod, if they would like to keep it going). After which, we will have accumulated the best of all three worlds of Paper Mario.
I'll start with something simple: main plots.
Paper Mario: Bowser kidnapps Peach, but becomes invincible and KILLS MARIO! YEAH! Of course, Mario comes back to life and has to stop him.
Thousand-Year Door: Peach is kidnapped by an unknown force, and as Mario must hunt for ancient treasure all around the world and the new X-Nauts try to stop him, Bowser must reclaim his position as King of Kidnapping.
Super Paper Mario: Count Bleck, a new supervillan, marries together Peach and Bowser (ZOMG! WHERE THE KOOPALINGS COME FROM!) to create a giant void that will destroy all worlds. You should all know the rest.

I feel that SPM by far has the best story. It hardly has Peach getting kidnapped, an all time favorite of Nintendo. It has more back story with Blumiere and Timpani. TYD also had some back story, but not as extensive as SPM. It also had villains who weren't completely evil. Bowser is Bowser. There were the world domination-seeking X-nauts and the betraying Shadow Sirens (though Vivian is a small exception). The back story of SPM showed that Blumiere was indeed a kind soul once. Nastasia wasn't a cold secretary who just followed orders, but she followed them because she cared for Bleck. Dimentio was the only truly evil one. There was a Pixl deeply involved in the story. Partners were hardly every part of the story. |

The story for the regular paper mario is simple and doesn't need random people like Count Bleck, his followers, the pixls, and X-Nauts, even though I still like them. |

Bowser was supposed to be the final boss in Mario games and paper mario games, not a miniboss in them like SPM. |

SPM. It's epic. PM the first, I enjoyed it.. WHEN I WAS EIGHT! I wouldn't enjoy SPM when I was eight, and I'd hate dimentio. I'd be like: What the heck did he say! (It was hard for me not to type hell, instead of heck... so sad. Mario is getting more brutal, incase you haven't noticed.
Super mario 64: I'm-a gonna save you princess!
Super mario sunshine: I've-a been-a framed! I-a didn't do it!
Super mario galaxy: I-a haven't-a played it-a yet!

Paper mario: Must save princess!
TTYD: Must save world from evil queen!
SPM: Must save hundreds of dimensions, (with many galaxies, with many worlds, it's like this:
1 world=50 princesses
1 galaxy=9 worlds(and a few asteriods that have no princesses) worlds
1 univurse= 10 galaxies (I would assume somewhere in that aspect, maybe more.)
NOW HOW MANY PRINCESSES ARE YOU SAVING, THERE? Not to mention, kings, princes, and queens! Face it, no game will have as good of a plot as spm, plot=princesses saved using that formula. |
