This is my first Guitar Hero. Figured its a good time to jump in and see what all the fuss is about. My friends worship it.
Anyone else here ready to rock?
Update: Quick Impressions so far: It seems to play just like the other guitar heroes (although, I only played the old ones a few times, im no expert). It feels easier to hit the notes, but the notes they send you seem to be in harder patterns.
Inserting your wii remote into the guitar is kinda annoying, you gotta open a compartement, plug in to the bottom, and push the remote down in, then put the cover back on. But the good thing is that the analog stick on the guitar controls the remote pointer even in the Wii Menu.
Online is cool. You pick a name, then choose to play random people or friends. Before you play, you can change you avatar character, choose outfit, guitar, etc). It ranks you, and there is a leaderboard (even a leaderboard for singleplayer highscores). I got totally owned my first game (the match was on hard).
The graphics suck. Everything looks really pixelated. There are no special graphical effects like bloom or shadows. There is no antialiasing, the fonts are fuzzy. The entire game just looks like a direct port from PS2. Good thing the game is not about visuals, but sound, and the sounds is great.

M'aiq's brother is getting it, with the Guitar, for $12.
He had to take out a one month membership to GameFly and Blockbusters to do it, but it's stil pretty cheap. |

Can't wait to get it. We could have a Guitar Hero tourney evenually (the Wii one IS online, right?)!
That would be sweet.
Sadly I probably won't have the game until Christmas. |

M'aiq believes Sharp got it for 360, because we already have the GHII controller for the 360. |
