It's a furry's internet personality.
Whether or not they actually think they look that way will vary depending on how weird the said furry is.
Most just have a "Fursona" on the internet and that's it, but care should be taken in case of encounters with the delusional variety. |

And I think that would just be fan art, since it's Tails as an anthro. |

A fursona is a made up creature (such as a talking cat, or a blue dog, anything really) that is supposed to represent you in some way. Just to let you know, it's NOTHING like a 'furry'. It's basically just an animal character that represents you.
And an anthro/anthropomorphic is an animal in the shape of a human. Kind of like that picture in your first post. |
