This is the story of a war. A war where no soldiers are seen, nor gunshots heard. A war where the populations of entire cities can disappear overnight. A war where only the strong, brave and desperate will survive.
In the year 2020, the old factions are ruined. All that is left are two empires, each embittered by the other's deeds, neither willing to back down. After years of unending war, normal armies and techniques became obsolete, no longer able to do their duty. Each empire, in secret, created an army of assassins, trained to kill and armed for death. None were ever seen in the day, and if you saw them at night then you were probably dead.
This is the story of a war. A war between the Inheritors and the Remnants. This is the story of the Silent War.
Chapter 1 - Decoy Met Kaan peered around the corner of the alley. Walking up the deserted road was a single figure, his face covered behind a long, grey robe. Kaan identified it as his target, an Inheritor general known as Trene. This was almost too easy.
As the general walked past the alleyway, Kaan made his move. Slipping out of the shadows for a split second, he pulled the figure into the alley, raised his dagger, threw back the figure's hood-
And froze.
The figure was not General Trene. A tall, slender, metal frame looked at Kaan. Kaan cursed his foolishness; in all his years of war, he should've learnt to expect this.
The robot stood up straight, glowed a bright blue...
And vaporised the entire block.
Inheritor Trele permitted a brief smile as he watched the explosion from his rooftop location. These Remnant rebels were becoming easier to kill every night. Trele had been informed that an assassination was being planned on General Trene, so he had arranged for a decoy to be set up. Although it had been a bit loud for his liking, the decoy had worked exactly as planned. Satisfied with the proceedings, Trele jumped down off the building and, keeping to the shadows, started running back to the Inheritor base...
I may or may not finish this depending on if I can find enough time and if I get enough good reviews.

You know what, that's DEFINATELY better than I can do, but, might I ask, who are the inheritors, and who are the remnants?
Even though it's just the beginning, I NEED to know how it ends!!! |

Chapter 1 is now up!
The Remnants and the Inheritors are two rival groups, and all that remains of the old governments and kingdoms of the planet. Each hates the other, for reasons few can remember. |
