And I thought things couldn't get worse.

An adoption is a LIFETIME COMMITMENT. You don't just try her out for a month and decide if you're going to raise her as your kid or not.

Mankind's arrogance? No.

Stupidity? Perhaps.

Lack of common sense? Yes.

I agree [Francine].
It's a huge responsibility. It might be really hard to get to your adopted kid's heart. I know some adopted kids and there was an incident about it.
Still, the mother should have helped with the relationship between the two girls.

That's so awful. How could she do something like that?

Seriously, when does ANYONE have the right to something like that?

She obviously wanted to try her hand at motherhood, and she failed, miserably. That's apparently what I think.

I currently agree with all of you, especially Francine. It is a life commitment. Also, Julie, could have become more friendly with the child instead of giving up hope and not wanting to become more loving with the child. There were other options. She can't expect the child to be an exact replicate of her own daughter. The adopted child is like her own daughter in a way and she shouln't have given her away.

She should have been brave to adopt the child and also to love the child as her own. She should have thought, that if she couldn't care for the child, then don't even bother to adopt the child. The poor girl has been removed from her birth country. The part of her life that will go on, will leave the child emotionally scarred.

I hope Julie thinks about her own child, and if she neglected her mother, then will her mother put her up to adoption? Probaby yes. After what we have seen Julie doing, it could be a likely situation.

The child did some stuff that was pretty uncalled for, though. I've always, ALWAYS hated it when people think they can act however they want because they're not in their own country.

I do agree, though, that it was not a smart idea to get the little girl's hopes up and then give her back.

Apparently, the questions they ask before the adoption aren't thorough enough.
