You know, I never thought I'd be doing a review for that really critically acclaimed Simpsons Movie, but here I am, doing it.
Now, The plot is pretty expansive with the money it's grossing at this moment, over $4 Billion.
It begins when Grampa Simpson has a prothetic vision of the threat that would approach Springfield. Springfield ends up cleaning up Lake Springfield, thanks to Lisa and Colin's protest, Homer lets Bart take the blame for skateboarding naked to Krusty Burger, as a part of some extreme dare game, and saves Plopper the Pig from the slaughterhouse. Because of this, Homer's Pig Crap silo gets filled, and when he hears about Lard Lad Donuts giving away free donuts, Homer actually dumps the crap into the lake, being the careless fool that he is, like Peter Griffin, but with less hair on his head, and some more stupidity!
BUT THAT'S NOT THE POINT, HERE!
After the crap pollutes the lake, Springfield gets sealed within a giant glass dome. The Springfieldians go after Homer for the pollution of the lake, and through the sinkhole, The Simpsons escape to Alaska, but the happiness doesn't last, as Marge and the Kids go back to try and save Springfield, only to end up captured, and put back in the Springfield Dome! Meanwhile, Homer had a strange vision with a realization that Homer had to save the town, because everyone was just as important as he was, no matter what reason it was! After getting back in the dome thruogh the hole in the top, he accidentally dooms the town more, so Homer decides to take Bart with him to Throw the bomb outside of the dome, by performing the Wario Chopper around the dome's inner surface! They made it, luckily. Of course the kiss at the end was the Best kiss of Marge's life, so far! And there's some other stuff that happens during the credits.
The features: There's two different running commentaries - One by Groening and the gang, and one by the directors of the film. A few deleted scenes, that if they were kept in, they'd net the movie a great $5 Billion, and TV Spots like Homer on Leno, Homer introducing American Idol, and The Simpsons judging Simon Cowell's singing.
It's a great movie, so I suggest getting it, especially if you're a Simpsons Nerr, like me. My parents bought the movie for me, and it came with a Bonus T-Shirt, available in Large, and is already wrinkled, after it came in a Donut-shaped package. Ver Gerharget!
Oh, and feel free to talk about the movie, okay? |
