I think its because during the time you are sneezing (not the ahh part, but the CHOOO part), everything in your body stops. |

I heard that, in the past, it was thought that your soul would leave unless you said "God bless you." |

It's because every time you sneeze, your heart stops, and if you sneeze at the wrong time your whole body will stop within half a second. No doctors have been able to save the countless that have died.
So you say "Bless you" for not dying on the spot. |

Is that actually true?
Anyway, yeah, it's because they thought evil spirits would enter your body, at least, that's what I heard. Nowadays, um, yeah. |

In russian, people say "Bood sdarov" which means Be healthy. Also some people think sneezing after a statement means the statement is true. |
