Oh... I'm a Mod. Oh... am I saying that some Mods, myself being no exception, are failing to do their job?

... Nope. I'd like to see anyone else say that. And most of all, I'd like to see and hear some examples, so that I can at least know what areas the community considers (perhaps not all of) us weak in addressing. People do enjoy grilling us - and naturally, it's easier to point the finger than it is to lend a helping hand - but then again, this IS an important position that needs to be taken seriously, and thus merits some amount of scrutinization.

Well anyway... the floor is open as always. I'd like to see some of your opinions regarding the Moderation Staff (not that I haven't accumulated many already while going about the site) right here in this thread. Oblige a crazy Mod, and... discuss!

Mods are not mechanical beings or software programs, slick. They are accoutns used by people who have lives and school, and possibly holding down a part-time job at the same time. You can't expect them be here 24/7, keeping us in line, slick. Not only is it a mod's job to keep this place in order, but it's also up to you guys, too. You get out of this forum what you put into, slick, just like many other things. Give mods a break. They're doing their job the best they can using time out of their day to come on here and mantain the forum, time that they could use for whatever they want, but they'd rather dedicate their time to helping out, slick. That's good enough a reason for anyone to be a mod, slick, and in my view, as long as they do that, I believe that they are doing their job very well.

Mods have definately picked up after Lord Crump. I agree, but mods are disapearing. Most people WANT to be mods and are making excuses saying that we need more. This WILL happen every time a mod leaves or spam breakouts happen. Mods do have a life and can't always be on. Most are active enough and can still can fufill their duties. Francis decides if the site needs more mods. Whether you like it or not, most of you aren't gonna be a mod. It takes alot of hard work and honor. It's voluntary work, YOU DO NOT GET PAID! You're using your own time and if higher priorities come up, your gonna fufill them, mod or not! You should be thankful that we got an awesome squad of trusted mods, that do their jobs well and are willing to give so much of their time to this site.

I mean, unless you are as awesome as Plastic or Francine, Francis won't pick you if there is a need for modship cards to be passed around. And right now, there is no need. So shut your traps.
