I'm currently in Gusty Garden's Gravity Scamble.
I took one look at the ball-cannons and went 'eep.'
I'm waiting to see a pattern, and then I'll barrel through.
The Hidden Star area for the Boo Mansion galaxy was nerve-wracking as well. The 'moving spotlights' platforms... I died many times...

The SECONDED matter splatter. OH, god it was annoying. Then there was bubble blast galaxy. |

I dont see why everybody thinks bubble blast galaxy was hard, it was waaay too easy. Oh yeah, I forgot about Matter Splatter Galaxy. THAT WAS A LAME GALAXY! |

Ball-rolling levels were hard until I got the hang of them. I still get ticked off when I fall off the ball...
Fast-Foe levels are stupid-hard. Thank the programmers that there were only TWO.
I despise the Daredevil Comet. I can't count how many times Bouldergeist crushed Mario. Luigi was a bit easier...
Sling-pod areas are also hard, especially the first part of the Sling Pod Galaxy. But I had an epic-win laugh in Space Junk star 3, when I pulled the sling pod with the Toad and I accidentally fired him to the right. Right into the black hole! But he got revenge from the aftergame because a couple of spiders knocked Mario in. |

Bowser's Dark Matter Factory.
It scare the shit out of me after I went through it. I don't know why.
Also areas that makes Mario upside-down for a long time, and espcially jump from plateform to plateform while head upside-down. It's frightening to fall up. Also every areas that mess with gravity a lot, but only those where you can fall off, though.
Black holes are scary to see from near, too. Like that one in FrozenFlame Galaxy's secret star (The black hole is really NEAR. You can even hear it swallowing air... Brrrr...) |

I'm gonna have to go with the inevitable and say Toy Time Purple Coins (still haven't beat it yet!)
But also, Rolling Gizmo Galaxy. I finally got the hang of it after a while. |

If you mean terrifying as in creepy, not difficult, Deep Dark Galaxy under the water ):
I don't like those eels. Their huge eyes creep me out. |

I don't get scared of eels anymore. Things that terrified me:
5. The HUMUNGOUS jellyfish in deep dark galaxy, and big mouth galaxy.
4. ATTAGK OF THE KILLER CHICKENS! In zelda games.
3.The eel in sm64
2.In Gauntlet legends II in the barracks, where the scroll tells you death awaits you in the shower. (Death is a monster in the game that's pottentially strong/scary) It has an onimous feel, if you think about ways to die in a shower.
1.The blowfish in banjo tooie. I DON'T KNOW WHY. It took me SO long to finally face my fear in there. When I finally did after many years, I beat the game days later.
But only #2 still haunts me. |

I think the jellyfish is pretty. And the chicken attack is just hilarious XD
I think the eels in SMG are scarier than the one in SM64. I could do that level no problem now ): And blowfish are... just creepy in general, the ones in DK64 are about as bad as the ones in banjo tooie. |
