Digibutter used to be Something. It used to be a place I could spend hours on and never get bored. Now I have to actually force myself to go on it. Gaming discussion is nonexistent, no one does anything "epic" anymore, and even the OT and RPOT seem to be less funny. I've looked over and analyzed the facts and here is my opinion.

The economy is now officially dead. Items have just become away to kill someone when they piss you off and that's about it. Nothing more. I think we need to just give up on the RPG aspects of Digibutter at this point. They were good for a time, but they no longer serve a purpose. The system is too simple to be truly engaging yet complex enough that it has a negative impact on the board when it is used. As I previously stated it so far is only good for getting people to shut the hell up, and one more death means another member temporarily not making Digibutter active.

Everything above Role-Play is dead. RP itself gets a few posts every day, but aside from gaming every forum about the RP is a barren wasteland and I'm not just talking about Digital Butterflies.

Creativity is at an all time low. I may be forgetting something, but I believe that the video war Dimentio started was the last great piece of media that Digibutter has been gifted with. And honestly that was quite a long time ago.

Drama Llamas. (LOL STEALING FROM CD!) Every other day it's another "EVERYONE *crag* HATES ME SO IMMA GONNA LEAVE SO PEOPLE WILL LOVE ME MORE WHEN I COME BACK! *CRAI*" I personally think OT should just die, because we all know that's where it is coming from. You people need to shut the hell up. Your lives don't suck, not everyone here hates you, and you need to cheer the *crag* up and stop making Digibutter suck.

Here is what I think about and will probably get flammed for.

I think Digibutter needs a complete revamp. (Flames commence in 3, 2, 1...)

First off RPG elements need to go. Coins serve no purpose, user shops are pointless, and when was the last time items did anything?

Next, forums need to be redone. This is how they are now, at least to the average member.

Ok, let me say something. THAT IS TOO MANY FREAKIN FORUMS. Ok yeah, the last three serve certain purposes and the top few our for site shit, but still that is too many. People say the site is inactive, yet the truth of it is that the posts are spread out across so many forums that every forum outside RPOT and OT looks like waste lands. This is my idea.

Digibutter Prison

Oh, look how clean and organized it is. Now let's elaborate on this design in in detail. Combining Feedback and Support was really a nitpick, but I think the forum is less cluttered and a little simpler that way. Digital Butterflies and Super Paper Mario are of course not so active anymore, but I think it's important to remember our past, and keeping them together and separated from the other forums emphasizes this. Next I put all the "geek" forums together. Once again simpler and less cluttered. Finally I added the rest of the forum together. I added RP and RPOT so that they're is just one RP forum and no confusion. I also took the Contest out of Contests & Tournaments since as I said, RP elements need to go. I think Tournaments could be changed into something of a Digibutter gaming community or clan. A place to set up matches against one another and such. Much like an Online Gaming forum that was brought up not too long ago. Finally General Discussion and Off-topic were remained untouched. They both serve their purposes quite nicely as General has turned into more of a debate forum as was wanted by many, and OT is well, OT.

I hope that at least someone will agree with me on this, and if not. Well it did feel good to just sit here ranting for 15 minutes and at least I enjoyed myself.

And Black Market and Miyamojo are deader than dead.

Look, everyone keeps complaining about how Digibutter isn't as good as it used to be. Nothing has changed. I keep making these *crag* topics every other week. Nothing has changed. Don't you think it is time to stop just sitting around waiting for something to happen and embrace something new? Progress has never come from just sitting around and letting things all go down hill. Why not try making a change for once and seeing if it leads down a better road?
