Logan inspired me to post this here, because I didn't want to shell out 10 bucks for a Something Awful account, and I only wanted to do that because I can't do a YouTube LP, and I can't do that because my voice sucks. ;~;

Live-A-Live is a very innovative RPG from the guys over at Squaresoft. I'll be doing this as a joint LP with Pure-???.

So, let's start!



Alright, there are 7 characters to choose from, each one with a different scenario in a different time and place. Each scenario also has a special gimmick which are usually needed to proceed. Below are the profiles of the characters and gimmicks.


Name: Pogo (Our name: Hammak)
Bio: Pre-dating written history, a young cave boy who lives with his ape friend, Gori, come of age. Both can sniff out enemies, among other things.

Name: Akira (Our name: IT'S DANGEROUS TO GO UNNAMED. POST NOW!)
Bio: In the near future, a boy with telepathy deals with a gang that rivalled his father til the death. Using his powers of telepathy, he reads the minds of others before making important decisions.

Name: Cube (Our name: IT'S DANGEROUS TO GO UNNAMED. POST NOW!)
Bio: A small, round robot opens his eyes for the first time on a cargo spaceship. This chapter has basically no fighting, other than the final boss and an optional arcade game that doesn't affect anything.

Name: Masaru Takahara (Our name: IT'S DANGEROUS TO GO UNNAMED. POST NOW!)
Bio: A rising wrestler, determined to learn all the moves, joins a tournament for the world's strongest. If his opponent performs a special move on him, he quickly learns the move and can use it against them.

Name: The Sunset Kid (Our name: IT'S DANGEROUS TO GO UNNAMED. POST NOW!)
Bio: Wandering the wild, a man with a bounty on his head finds himself in a struggling town in need of help. In 8 gongs of the bell, the gang known as the Crazy Bunch will attack. Use the time to your advantage and plant explosives and other traps to slow them down.

Name: Ro (Our name: Due to a translation glitch, his name must be two letters or less. Sucks, doesn't it? IT'S DANGEROUS TO GO UNNAMED. POST NOW!)
Bio: An old man with great knowledge of Kung-Fu techniques is slowly approaching death, and must find a pupil to teach his moves to. He finds three students, all of which he believes has the power to learn the Shinsanken's special technique, Sengazanken, and become the inheritor to the fighting style. Train them wisely, for they'll be your only hope in the end...

Bio: When a dynasty is nearing it's end, a Shinobi agent is sent to recover a prisoner and kill the man responsible for the terror. He can take three paths; kill everyone in his path, kill those who get in the way, or not kill anybody. (We'll be doing the second.)

Okay, they started talking about capturing someone, a robotic Puppet of some kind, and returning the world to war. one of them kinda creeped me out be saying they haven't tasted fresh human flesh in a long time. moving on...




The red guy has apparently failed something, and wants to try again later.
He is told to stop being hasty, for what would happen if he died, for he is the Leader of the "Enma Ninjas."
The purple guy says he would go if he weren't so old. He asks if there's soemone else. adn there is. what is his name?



It's supposed to be Oboro, but the game doesn't really like me naming him in this chapter. it's his default name, cause I like using them.



And there he is! I'm about to get an invisibility cloak. it's for generic hiding from foes.

In the Feudal Era of Japan...



















Now, in this chapter, there are 100 humans you can kill. You can go for all of them, or none. I will not be doing either, as I'm too freaking lazy. I will be killing whoever is available to be killed. Allow me to demonstrate...








Voila! I can go south and abandon my mission, but I'd have to do some fighting, and I'm apt to get owned. so I won't bother.

I was given the password code, which is vital if you actually care how many people you want to kill. much less so if you're aiming for 100. I really don't need it.

I've gotten outside now, And slain a few more people. I'm at 10 now.

Let's start with the Prehistoric chapter.

After a few battles, I give him my Meatbones (>:|) and he leaves. Then I fight through a whole bunch of battles until I get SUUUUPER STRONG.

And after those battles, it's sleeping time! Yay!

There are 2 other events here, but one is useless, and I already killed the guys involved in the other one.

So THAT's why he was different. I guess that was some crazy Clone Jutso ma thing. he mentions that he shouldn't have divided his power by 5.

This is a very hard optional boss. I'm just showing him off, becasue he's going to one shot me. I garentee it.



It actually took two hits, but the first one put me to sleep, so it had lower attack.

Might as well show off that shadow boss. there are some ninjas around there anyway.
