Since the Mods on Digibutter are terrible... What makes me so dreadful, and how can I do better? You know, I'll actually try to take your advice to heart... I'm only trying to help. :/

you guys aren't terrible, first off, Most of you know how to moderate more or less.

My general advice is set a standard, heed my words, if you blind eye mass quantity's of spam, then all hell will break loose. Use your own judgment on what is spam or not, and act on your decision.

also Lighten up, most fools hate to be governed, and will always complain about those in charge, take it with an easy stride, if you get upset at them, all you will do is create bias, and then you wont be a fair moderator.

I was an Admin once on a fairly popular site, and I know what its like having the shit hit the fan, and taking the blame, or at least feeling like you are taking all the blame... And if its really throwing you off, maybe you need a little break to save your sanity, worked for me when I was down.

I'm not upset at any person or persons particularly, just the fact that such complaints are present when I find them to be generally unfounded... I don't know. I'm one of those crazy people who takes her job seriously. Taking things seriously seems to be frowned upon somewhat here. :/

Yes, I too was an Administrator at a fairly popular site, which lasted for more than three years. If people had a problem with the way my staff and I ran things, they did of course make themselves heard, which is only fair. I guess the difference is just that they didn't say that Mods "suck arse" and are "complete crap."

The mods aren't terrible. It's just the idiots that feel the need to flame every little imperfection they come across. And since those idiots are the same ones that break the rules most, the "imperfection" they're thinking of is the fact that we actually do work.

but to come back to the Baseless complaints, its just people being people, Many people complain about the government with little or no understanding in how it works, With the general statement "if I was a _insert position of power here-" you can get the feel, President, Admin, Moderator, Mayor. Its all the same lust for power, with none of the will to accept the responsibility's

I'm sorry its taxing on you, but I for one commend you all for generally sucking it up, And I have no real complaints with you guys, In fact, keep up the good work

This is semi my fault, right? I didn't mean it to be very serious, I just think Popple enforces the punishments the best. I've never been a mod before, and if I was, I'm sure I would be just as afraid( someone give me a better word. >__> ) to strike someone. Either that our I would be a over power idiot and turn the whole place into a living site of toxic death, where everytime you breathed in it's basically asking for a ticket to jail.

It's easy for people to say that moderators aren't doing their job, because they don't see what goes on behind the scenes. So if they don't see a mod doing massive amounts of work, they'll say that they're not doing their job. But that doesn't matter, as long as you're doing what you're supposed to be doing, even if all the regular members don't see it, it's fine. You're not a bad moderator.

What is most weird/unfair is that:

Good moderators get complained at for doing their job, and bad moderators get complained at for not doing their job.

I've seen cases of biased people actually getting the admin to demod someone. You can be glad you retained your position so far.
