As the days whittle away in the Digibutterian community, I notice many alterations in the society. Respect for the members around you has diminished, rapidly, to the extent of lunging at each other's throats over the most trivial of things. My prime example, Petey Piranha, who has been emulating the most dramatic peaks of immature behaviour.
The most part, is the fact of Critisism of work submitted by users. Of course, I'm not saying that there has never been an occurance where a member has flat-out insulted the submitter for no apparent reason.

I do agree that it is indeed a little harsh, but it is critisism, and Doo_liss believes that they are not sufficiently pleasing to him. Everyone is allowed their individual opinions on subjects, so why complain about his critisism?

This was completely uncalled for. My brother was expressing his opinion towards his work, and Petey bumped the topic just so that he could post this in retaliation to an insult that never was. Not only to reply with an unnecessary attitude, but also stoop to the level of, dare I say it, "Petty" insults towards my brother's signature which has absolutely no relevance to the topic. The final line of "Shut the Hell up", yet again was completely uncalled for, and reflects the diminishing respect for other members that is becoming apparent in Digibutter. If you can't take critisism, Petey, then don't reply with this kind of immature nonsense, plx?

A topic made by Petey Piranha, once again, that spiralled out of control when a member innocently pointed out the apparent flaws that he could see in his work, and expressed his opinion.

What's with this? I'm sorry, Petey, but that's just too far. You tell the guy to shut up, call him asshole and exclude him from your project over him posting a completely harmless statement with absolutely no offensive content, whatsoever! Pathetic.

Yeah, but re-editing the title to "Petey's Decrease in Respect" wouldn't exactly get the point across.

Really, I think many people in general should learn when something is an attack on themselves, or simply honest opinions. I've seen waaaay too many times when a negative, but not necessarily abusive, comment was just met with hostility because the receiver didn't know how to differentiate between the two, or was just too damn sensitive for their own good. |

No offense, (ironic) but I think that people need to stop being so sensitive while showing compassion to others. I can understand the difficulty in our society, yes, but I can also understand not taking everything as an offense and flailing about it. |

It wouldn't, but to show the community is getting unfriendly, it'd take rating more than one member.
Oh well. I've seen other cases aside Petey's.
The best thing to do is, don't take things much seriously unless they are serious; and if you get bashed at, unless you literally asked for it, report away. |

The only flames I can remember tossing were indirectly aimed,and I felt pissed at the time.Mainly because I hate people who complain about a game they never played,I just hope I don't snap again. |

Franis in SPM says he does it himself, so maybe bad example'd.
So, as I said again... The measures to react at flaming:
1. Completely ignore it, unless you actually didn't ask for it.
2. Don't take it seriously, unless it's something REALLY offensive.
3. Report away, and do your best to not react. |
