Recently, when my parents whre away, I broke my stepfathers LCD screen and Wii taboo and hooked them up together and kicked the crap out of Dimentio. The thing has a sort of semi-surround sound equipment, and my Wii was put on Surround setting. And - OMG - the music sounded completely different. I have experimented around if that was because I had it on surround even with the stereo-only TV that I use normally, but there seems an extra dimension to the soundtrack only useable with surround equipment.

Your observations ?

Yeah, I think you're right. It does sound a lot different depending on the settings.
