Perhaps as the whole coin/item thing progresses, and Francis makes new and different items besides the 2 mushrooms we have, we could create member-owned shops.
We could be able to pick what it's called, which of the items we want to stock, and how much they cost. Rather than everything being restocked every X amount of time, we'd each have to restock our own shops.
To keep everything under control, you would have to pay to own a shop, pay to restock, each person would only be able to make 1 shop, and no one could buy from their own shop.
That way, people couldn't completely monopolize the... message board economy, shall we say? ... and people couldn't put Super Ultra Mega Mushrooms on sale for 1 coin at their own shop, buy however many they want, and then change the price to 100 for everyone else.
Everything would have a "wholesale price," then we can mark it up as we desire. For example the mushrooms we have now would cost 15 each to stock in our shop, so if we sold them for 20 each we'd make a 5-coin profit. And other obvious stuff like that.

Yay/nay?

Edit - if you buy something from wholesale, you also wouldn't be able to use it for yourself, you'd have to put it up for sale. If everyone could just buy themselves stuff from wholesale, then that would defeat the purpose of anyone having any shop.

You can already "Trade", so in a sense you already have your own shop going.

User shops are very possible. But, you would probably sell your own items that you create yourself. The items you create would not be "usable" because I have to script that in the backend. But they would still appear in your inventory. So it could be fun stuff, just not "useful" stuff.
