I think it would've been cool if every character's third taunt was the death animation from their first game.
For example: Link would spin around, disappear and reappear; The Legend of Zelda Luigi would leap into the air with his legs back and a scared expression on his face, then fall down with his arms and legs out; Mario Bros. Yoshi would be an exception, methinks. In SMW, he doesn't die, and his death in SMW2 seems like it wouldn't work well. Thus, I'd think the Yoshi Story death would be best. Unfortunately, I don't remember it well. D:

Yoshi's SMW2 death would work perfectly.
... Wait, I remembered it wrong. xD I was thinking of the spike death from SMW2. Y'know, where he jumps up high in the air before falling off the screen? Yeah. The normal death would be fine.
